Opti it's a friggen gambling forum. Theres always call for hesitancy in this environment. I was thinking i might be better served buying a gift card and giving it directly to the animal rescue organization for which I volunteer. Smaller group and probably see more direct benefit. But I'll bite here too if you guys think I'm dumb for asking the question.

I didn't think you were dumb at all Tat. I probably should have replied to PO69s comment directly, but didn't as he is expected to be the type of cynical ass that would come into a thread like this and try and derail it just for the entertainment. Plus I didn't think anyone else would actually think it.

If PO69 or anyone else really think SBR might be stealing charity donations, and genuinely give a rats ass, go start your own thread about it. Or just don't donate here. No need to try and turn a positive thread into yet another negative one.

I just asked if they showed you something for their donation. Wasn't as negative as you're filtering it. Po69 has zero intention of donating to anyone ever. I volunteer at 2 places and understand that high level donations need to be scrutinized sometimes.

What about the around $500 in cash that I have given away at this forum?????? What about the around $800 in cash that I have given away at EOG? Some of those posters paid it forward as well. Sure maybe they didnt give it out to charity, but they had their own giveaways as well.


But I have given out cold hard cash at betjamaica and 5Dimes on multiple occassions here on SBR. I actually only stopped because the moderators said that I wasnt allowed to cut out a few posters who couldnt participate in my contests.

Well I dont like being told that I am not generous with other posters. Sure I dont have any points to give out, but I have given out the equivalent of 10,000 points in cash to a few posters here at SBR and that doesnt even count the cash that i gave at EOG.


Sure some told me that I was stupid for having those giveaways and I sort of agree with them. But I have done it in the past and will gladly do it again.


I like St Judes. My daughter had to spend 2 weeks at Texas Childrens Hospital when she was 6 years old. She has a very rare syndrome and was paralyzed for a while. But now she is fine and an anonymous donor paid 25% of our $119,000 bill for the 2 weeks. So I pay it forward myself to guys around here

there was never a charity donation badge. The only badge ever given out was for playing in a charity poker tournament last year and the donation there was very small, and there was a prize pool for the tournament as well.

My bad ... swore Id seen a St Judes donation badge appearing on someone's stack but maybe that was it

maybe they give one if you go pro via a charity? I don't know. I've never seen that badge. The only one I've ever seen was the Doctors Without Borders for playing poker on some Saturday a while back.
