Your best late play and why/

I want some action tonight but I don't have any strong leans. I like Florida, but not a ton considering the skid they have been on with the bats and Silva ain't been pretty either.

Take the Mets, they have a better pen.

Angels are not hitting the ball right now and Pelfry has been pitching well as of late. He had a shut out last game out. Even though he didn't get the win.

    nice dog price too.

Mets because Pelfrey is pitching well. Marlins, I usually wouldn't hestitate to bback them vs righty, but paying too much for a road team here.

LAA is the most overrated team. I know the Mets aren't great, and Weaver isn't bad, but I don't see much difference between this matchup and the FL-Sea one, and the odds are a lot better.

laa is gonna make the playoffs, always
i am not saying they are gonna win it, but they always win 92
they run, play d, pitch, and have a good pen

I disagree. I think their win-loss record is why they are overrated right now. They will be a .500 team going forward. They can't hit. Just my opinion.

    they can never hit
    but they can always pitch
they end the yr with 90 wins no matter what
thats a good team to me

I agree that LAA will make the playoffs. They will win their division after going .500 for the rest of the season.. because Oakland can't keep this up, and Sea and Tex stink. And once they are in the playoffs, anything could happen-- they could win the World Series, for sure. But I am going to continue to bet against them in the meantime.

.500 for the rest of the season and they have 88 wins by the way, so you are only predicting 4 better than that with a lot of games to go.

Hey, I agree that 92 wins is good. If my Jays finished with that I'd be ecstatic. However, if the Angels get 92 wins it will be mostly because of their hot start over the first 70 games of the season. They don't have the hitting to keep up their current pace. Just the way I see it.

You might be right about Oakland keeping it up, I really don't know. At the beginning of the season I wouldn't have predicted their performance thus far-- on the other hand, they look solid. Their bullpen has been ridiculous. I think they will have a dropoff in their starting pitcher-- Smith and Eveland look like they might be slowing down a bit-- and who could have expected this from Duchscherer...

And yeah, even if Oakland keeps playing well, they could both make the playoffs, because it shouldn't take a huge number of wins to take the wildcard I don't think.

    2-0 Mets

i like the jays, they just cant hit
they are bad situationally whereas the a's seem to be better
jays have the pitching but they seem to have no heart

i like em, hope they win the east
may come to toronto next month

    Pelfrey isn't looking sharp...

Yeah, the Jays just have no hitting. Their pitching is good, not great though. A's are kind of like the Jays but everything a little better. We could use Frank Thomas now.

Hope you enjoy Toronto if you go.

well frank is hurt, so the a's need him too
and the a's starters benefit a lot from the coliseum
    its huge
but their pitchers always keep them in games.
harden stays healthy and they make the loffs

    its all on him
