    Rockies vs White Sox discussion

here's the place to discuss anything pertinent to this game. If anyone could find the starting pitcher for Colorado, that would be awesome

Jason Jennings is going to start with Jeff Francis first in behind him. My bud in CO tells me that Joe Table, Ray King and Tom Martin are on the list after that in one order or another.

I'm hearing Lance Broadway, Javier Lopez and Corwin Malone coming in for the ChiSox in relief at some point. All three are longshots for the 'go north' roster. Tim Redding is another possible reliever for the first couple of games.

Jason Jennings WHIP ratio: 1.566. I would probably play the runline if i could but i think i'm gonna go with chicago. Is this a smart play? all comments welcome

    Wed 3/1 901 Colorado Rockies +126
    12:05 PM 902 Chicago W/Sox -134

Pinnacle has lines up with pretty high maximum, 50.000 dollars. Huh, i wonder who bets on training matches so much. I hope they will publish run lines later. Not sure what to take yet. Any ideas guys?

I'm a White Sox fan but the pitchers going tommorow are going to walk way too many players. I doubt I'll bet anything...but just for fun i'll look to see who's playing tommorow. I just know that I'd more than likely take the Rockies tommorow.

March 1 vs. Colo: Jose Contreras, Jon Garland, Charlie Haeger, Javier Lopez and Arnie Munoz.

the pitchers going tommorow for the White Sox.

better pitchers but same results I fear. going to look at who the Rockies are throwing tommorow. Haeger is a knuckleballer 90% of the time. not sure how well knuckle balls move in Arizona. Lopez has horrible control. Arnie Munoz..great 12-6 curve..but a very unimpressive 84 mph fastball.

lineup for the White Sox tommorow-

    Mackowiak, LF
    Uribe, SS
    Thome, DH
    Konerko, 1B
    Dye, RF
    Iguchi, 2B
    Crede, 3B
    Widger, C
    Anderson, CF

looks intriguing but spring training games you might as well flip a coin after the 5th inning.

imo run lines in spring training are pointless. Usually games aren't too close...it usually ends one way or another. Players and coaches could sort of care less whether they win the games or not. They'd *like* to win but you'll just see more tinkering around than actual managing.

Excellent post presley. That's yet another reason why I don't bet the preseason.

it's the first game of the year, not to mention it's only preseason. needless to say, it's meaningless game.

btw, yahoosports.com offers live preseason baseball scores.

I think Yahoo is the best for bases hands down.
