    Let me get this straight

In a tie game with one out in the 9th, the A's intentionally put the go-ahead run on first base?

I'm watching this game, and I absolutely can't believe what I saw. Fine with me though, I have A's +1.5 and under 7.5 and I needed one run by the Twins right there.

Morneau could have went deep, like bonds back in the day

With no one on in a tie game at home in the 9th inning, this is inexcusable.

Agree. It is not like they were even intentionally walking him to get to sub par hitters. The top of their order followed Morneau.

Better than that, you get your pinch hitter on in the bottom of the inning and then try to move him over with a .212 slugger? (Who pops out)

Morneau's a great hitter, but you don't walk Zeus in that situation.

Im glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that lunacy...

I watched Barry Bonds for 15 years, the greatest hitter of all time, and I can't remember anyone ever walking him intentionally with the bases empty (maybe once actually).

I do however remember Bob Brenly intentionally walking him with the bases loaded once in a 2 run game in the 9th and it actually paid off, as they were able to get Ellis Burks to pop up to end the ballgame.

I told my buddy that was the dumbest move I've ever seen a manager make -- until tonight.
