Red Sox and Yanks only teams to pay luxury tax
The Yankees and Red Sox were the only teams to pay the luxury tax in figures released Monday. The Bombers were hit with a $23.88 million bill, while the Red Sox came in at $6.06 million.

must be nice to be able to spend more than anyone else. imo, baseball needs to make some changes.
New York's luxury tax bill will be nearly twice that of the Marlins 2008 payroll. A hard cap needs to be implemented.
