    Aug 28, Tuesday OVER/UNDER leans...

I have not had a chance to handicap the starting pitchers yet, but based on runs scored per game and team ERA last 7 games I am leaning toward these OVER/UNDER picks:

Milwaukee at Chicago Cubs Suppan vs Hill UNDER
St. Louis at Houston Looper vs Williams UNDER
Boston at NY Yankees Matsuzaka vs Pettitte OVER
LA Angels at Seattle Santana vs Weaver OVER

SENSIBLE feedback is welcome and appreciated.

If anyone wants to take a stab at handicapping the starting pitchers, the last 3 starts are the most important stat for how I pick OVER/UNDER plays.

I don't really like most of those games as far as the totals. BOS-NYY you'd think that pitching match-up might favor the under, but that series seems to find the over some how, some way. 9 of 12 meetings have gone over this year, so that's probably a fair shot to take on the over.

The one I really like to start the day is Game 1 of CIN-PIT hitting the over at 9.5. CIN has been red hot and has already beaten up Gorzelanny once this season. Ramirez doesn't inspire any confidence on the other side against a decent PIT offense. This series has also been over friendly this year, 8 of 12 with one of the four non-overs being a push.
