    Oakland (Vegas) A’s

I know there have been numerous threads about how bad these guys are but my 8 year old and I tuned in tonight. We just witnessed a little league level throw to 2nd base, missed by the SS that nobody even considered backing up and it then rolled to the left field wall and 2 fielders couldn’t decide who should pick the ball up. A single to a triple just like that. 2-1 game is now 6-1. These guys suck.

30-80 on the season after tonight. These guys won’t hit 50 wins this year. They need to win 39% of their remaining games.

I really don't know how I even knew they'd have that winning streak in advance as it was nothing short of an act of God.

And by the way: They like to keep the soda money on the field.

I thought wow....they might be able to keep this one close tonite. Cut it to 2-1. In comes Erceg! Right away. I pulled out my phone as fast as possible and bet the Dodgers. That dude wasn't that bad a few months ago but he's turned into batting practice as the A's top batting practice reliever. LOL - I said "ut-oh" out loud when he came into pitch. There goes this game. Sure enough - badda bing, badda boom!

And at least the Royals have Witt Jr. and a few others with some promise. The A's have Ruiz and maybe Gelof will be decent. Who the hell knows right now.

Did you see that horseshit play to push it to 6-1 fast? At this point they are who we thought they were. I hammered the Dodgers too when it got to 2-1 and that bum came in.

I was just thinking it looked pretty good. Suits Las Vegas.

It looks like the Sydney Opera House.

From what I read they still plan on having a small capacity stadium on the grounds of the Tropicana. There's so little area there that they'll likely have a high elevation bandbox. It could be almost as extreme as Coors Field. With such a small capacity tickets are likely to be expensive too. I hope the powers that be reconsider this.

It's spring training. I believe the A's will have a decent season in Las Vegas. The Raiders and Knights did on their debut, I wouldn't doubt the A's do the same. The team has some hidden gems.

LOL. You really don’t know much man. Vegas was the fastest growing city in 2000-2010 and now both Henderson/Vegas remain in the top 25. Nothing but growth. Literally they can’t build homes, infrastructure and casinos fast enough. Many fans will be visitors too. Do some research bud. You have to be joking here.

They will print money in Vegas but the process of getting here hasn’t been popular. Oh well. Taxpayers funding billionaires hobbies again.

Lots of warehouses being built in Henderson. Amazon just built another. Lots of money coming into that area.

I can't believe they're going to play another season in Oakland. I'm looking hard at that wins total of u57.5 -105.

What’s “stuff”??? You didn’t read my message and don’t know how to use google. You have never been off strip. You think NFL and MLB are moving here because it’s a low growth market? I believe their data over yours. They are “on it” but their bet is a sure thing.

Wide open areas to develop. Nonstop- same thing in Arizona. Great service workforce who will look to warehouse, minor manufacturing and fulfillment as an upgrade over dealing with tourism/hospitality degenerates.

So. it's no secret that right after the SB the following eight weeks I begin prepping for the MLB fantasy draft.

A couple of days ago, I want to say this past Monday I'm poking around the Oakland forty-man roster looking for a diamond in the rough sleeper.

I've been doing this since the T-Rex grazed my daddy's back yard looking for grass to munch on.

Never in my life I've uttered " Never heard of ya" so many times.

I'm familiar with six names out of the forty players, and I've pretty much heard of them all.

They're down to one shortstop, Darrell Hernaiz.

    This is his summary.

    2024 Fantasy Outlook
It's too bad Hernaiz's context isn't better, because he's an underrated talent. His lack of impact speed, terrible home park and sub-standard teammates cap his ceiling, but he's a strong draft-and-hold target or AL-only bench option due to his floor and path to playing time. Hernaiz only hit nine home runs last year while stealing 13 bases, but he hit .321 with a 13.4 K%, 105.4 mph 90th percentile EV and a 112 mph maxEV (very good data for a 22-year-old shortstop). It wouldn't be surprising to see him hit .275 with 10 homers and 15 steals if he were in the big-league lineup for 135 games or so. The depth chart is wide open, with Nick Allen and Aledmys Diaz the only other shortstops on the roster

I’m an Oakland A’s fan and only recognize 5 players but 2 of them were Giants players. 🤣

One of the busiest intersections in the whole of Las Vegas. Not much parking other than the casino’s who will charge a huge amount to park.

As of yesterday, thurs March 14 th, the Oakland A’s were tied for 3rd in runs scored this pre season.

Unfortunately, they’ve given up as many.
