    If anybody is Derek Jeter
Mattingly, one of the worst managers in baseball history it’s proven

Boone had nothing to do with it. The Astros had the best record in the AL, the Yankees were second and the best team in the AL beat the second best team.

They lost 4-0. Shouldn't they have put up more of a fight ?

Agreed. At some point it needs to be on the manager, in any sport. It’s time for Boone to go.

Jeter would be a perfect fit
    Competitor and winner

I do not think he wants the commitment

Yankees were the best team for a good portion of the year before all star break. everything slowly got worse and worse for them. lost best record, then best AL record, then had a little bit of a scare for the division and then lost in the ALCS with a sweep. at some point boone has to pay or next year will be a repeat again.

What moves could Boone have made that would've turned a 4-0 defeat into a win? He can't step up to the plate and hit for them when they're striking out. Managers make almost no difference, especially in this era when the star players can tell him to fukk off without worrying about being cut.
