I was just reading an interesting article about each MLB teams next Hall of Famer. Dick Allen's name showed first for the Phillies. Reading on Scott Rolen's name came up as the choice. OK I'm up for Rolen but should Allen be in the HOF? He played 15 years, on 5 MLB teams, 9 with the Phil's. His stats show yearly average of 102 runs scored, 33 home runs, .292 batting average, and 104 Rs BI. He was a 7 time All Star, 1964 ROY, he led the AL in home runs 2 times, led AL in slugging % twice and the NL once. His problem would be he was perceived as controversial, sometimes fighting, in the 70's some things were hard to shake back then u know what I mean? I remember him as a very fierce hitter and say he should be in the HOF.
