    Bryce Harper and Mke Trout

No post season baseball these guys will be playing again, there massive pay contracts seem way to much now.

trout wants to win but re-signs with the angels. would have been better going to another market.

    Those contracts sink teams

You can platoon 2 aaa players that can get you .275/ 25/ 90 in almost any position in mlb these days because the game isn't about obp, advancing runners, sacrifices, SB's, etc

None of the nuance that kept otherwise mediocre talent out of mlb matters anymore so these contracts are just team cap killers

Would rather overpay 2 great starting pitchers on 4 year deals

agreed. the effect of 1 "huge" bat is not the same as an Ace Pitcher. well said.

One man can only do so much in baseball, even Trout. Unless a ream is willing to break the salary cap and pay the tax, nobody is worth anything near $25 million/year.
