Jacob DeGrom for the Cy Young Award

Well, today is Jacob DeGrom's last start of the year and I will be rooting for him to win his 3rd consecutive cy young award..

This guy is amazing. So many times this season, I have seen him pitch 6 innings or so and strike out 12 batters and give up one run. After having the pleasure of watching him more this season than in others, makes me believe he is actually underrated, much better than I ever thought..

He throws 98mph and the ball seems to explode out of his hand. Hitting against him is a tall task for any batter..

The other thing I found out about him this year, which you have to admire, is that he has a great work ethic, constantly working out, always trying to find ways to become a better pitcher.

    A true professional!!

Its Darvish at +110 and DeGrom at +150

DeGrom could still win with a light's out performance today. My $$ is on the Mets today. Bet with your heart, not with your head. Lol!!

Ha!! As an always disappointed Met's fan, DeGrom winning the Cy Young would be like the Yankees winning the World Series.

I am seeing +800. Not bad for 7-0 2.25 but it looks like Darvish will win because he's Asian.

I'd throw a $100 on that. High risk high reward.

Well, at least i can look forward to next season when the Wilpons will no longer own this team. Just bad. If MLB didnt bail them out a few years ago, they would have been long gone. The good old boys network kept them afloat.

Bauer has earned it IMO. His .79 WHIP and .159 Batting average against are ridiculously good. He basically turns every hitter of an opposing team's lineup into a good hitting pitcher for the day.

I think he'll fall short in the voting, due to many of the old school reporters with votes not liking his brash style.

I realize win/loss is not a good tell for a pitcher, but a 5-4 starter winning a Cy Young is weird. Darvish's numbers are close enough that the 8-3 makes the difference.

DeGrom best in baseball period, made some mistakes in the last outing but he is the reason I buy the mlb package so I can watch every start. Guy is so good and a complete stand up guy. I am so glad Mets have him.

Be better for him if Mets didn't have him. He's 70-51 with the Mutts now in 6.5 seasons, what a joke. Never won more than 15. And he's 32. Guy won't even win 150 career.

Looking at all the numbers Bauer should win it. NL MVP is a real tossup- Freeman, Tatis, Betts.

Darvish and Degrom are overrated.. Both would be hard pressed to be the 3rd starting pitcher on any playoff team today.

That is why I love him. He already knows he is great. He isn't a fukin sellout like most others. He is fine with himself.

deGrom has 7 K’s through 4 innings on only 45 pitches. But trails 1-0. The first time in his career he allowed a home run on an 0-2 pitch.
