    Tanaka -170.....Why?

    WTH am I missing here?

Every time he pitches he is grossly overpriced.

This is like the horrible Ubaldo lines a few years ago.

Yankees should be favored but this seems like a ridiculous line.

I don't understand the line either. I was looking at playing A's before the pitching change. Not sure if I will now.

Why do you guys think that these lines are set based on probability? They aren't. They are based on action and public perception. There isn't a more publicly backed team than the New York Yankees.

So the books are gonna set the lines (and inflate them) based on the action they know they're gonna take.

Take the starters out of the equation and you still have a Yankees lineup that is much deeper than the A's. Same goes for the bullpen. Most would believe there will be a turnaround for Tanaka as well. Line sits around -160 right now which seems a little more fitting
