    Yoenis Cespedes Re-Signs with Mets

Got himself a nice raise by opting out of original deal, now gets 4 years, $110 million.

I like it, but usually when the Mets sign players to these huge deals for multi year deals it turns out bad. Hope he can continue to help the Mets in a big way. We need bats

He had no intention of leaving the Mets, just wanted more years. Mets still won't improve until they get some good middle relievers. Starting pitching is no problem with the rise of Lugo and Gsellman on top of Thor, degrom, Harvey, Matz and maybe Wheeler. They will more than likely have to package Lugo or Gsellman with a position player like flores or T.J. Rivera to bring back some good middle relief. Never should have made an offer to Walker. That money should have went into relief pitching. Rivera would've been a good starter at second but now he becomes trade bait.

Don't forget. Jay Bruce or Granderson is a goner.
