Man if Rosenblatt was still around, there would have been some HRs today. 20+ MPH wind blowing south. I miss that some.

How is the new stadium positioned direction wise?

The wind is carrying some of these balls deep to leftfield but no dice yet scoring wise.

It's the direct opposite of Rosenblatt. Prevailing winds in Omaha in the summer come from the south. South winds propelled balls out like a rocket there. TD Ameritrade is positioned directly opposite of Rosenblatt so that the south winds push the ball in, Basically makes it close to impossible to see very many HRs.

Looks like this kid on the hill for Louisville isn't very sharp tonight. Walks and wild pitches may get him yanked if it continues.

Walks are his M.O. Honestly in the Supers, he could have given up quite a bit more - but Kennesaw State never got a big hit. Vandy doing a little better with that. It was part of the reason I took the over tonight with Vandy swinging hot bats. I thought about Vandy ML, but liked this better since I wasn't sure what to expect from Fulmer tonight. Figured he'd be good, but I figured that in the Supers and Stanford got him a bit.

Louisville needed to have done something that inning. Best chance to get on the board and they run themselves out of the inning. Fulmer scuffled some that inning.

I'm conceding my Under play at this point.... just hoping the Cards can cover my run line so I only lose juice.

Kind of a weird move they brought Stone in that early, but they do have so many mix & match parts I guess the coach is doing what he wants.

Sorry man. Things working decently for me to start, especially if Vanderbilt hangs on here. That was really the team I liked to win this whole thing if their pitching showed up and tonight they did mostly.

Gotta get my game face on tonight for my alma mater [TCU] tomorrow. Cannot handle anything like that third game in the Super Regional. That was orgasmic and agony all rolled into one for several innings.

    Pitching Match-ups
    TCU: Morrison vs. Tech: Sadberry
    UVA: Kirvy vs. MISS: Ellis

Not totally surprised by the Frogs flipping the rotation and putting Morrison on the bump tomorrow. Saves Finnegan and his left arm to go against UVA or Ole Miss, but I think mainly with the idea that TCU believes they will win and I think Virginia has the match-up to win against Ole Miss.

    Pick #3: TCU -1.5 @ +130
Morrison vs. Sadberry. These teams met four times in the regular season, splitting the four games - but Tech did win twice on the Frogs' home field. I think that will give TCU a bit of a chip on their shoulder, especially since one of those games was Morrison's worst outing of the year. He only went two innings in a 10-2 loss. That was way back in March and a lot has changed. Sadberry pitched well over 5 IP in that game, giving up just one run and the Tech pitchers have been other worldly in the NCAAs. Most of that came against very ordinary offenses in Miami and Charleston. TCU struggled to get the big hit with RISP until Game 3 against Pepperdine when they came back from the dead with a two run, 9th inning rally. That series though they had plenty of traffic on base, it was a matter of not executing. I think TCU learned some in the Pepperdine series and will incorporate a bit more small ball this week. The Tech bats meanwhile were buried in the headlines about the Red Raiders' unexpected pitching boost. Their offense has scored just 13 runs in six NCAA games and faces maybe the best top-to-bottom staff in Omaha. Sadberry is a good, experienced pitcher ... but I still think he's been pitching above his level here recently. He's got a .263 BAA, so TCU can expect to get base runners. The key is getting those early key hits and working a lead. I think Tech could be a little in that "just happy to be here" type mode and if their bats don't get going early, they may not get going at all.

Looks like the ML was the way to go. Don't see TCU getting anything this late. Gotta face it, their offense is just in the dumps since the tournament started. They were good for at least 3-4 before then, now if they get 2-3 it's an outburst.

I can't get a beat on tonight's game. I know Virginia is good but Ole Miss's offense makes them a live dog. The total has me stumped also. I may just wait til the next slew of games and just watch the NBA tonight. Good luck EP.

I think the pitching match-up gives UVA an edge. I was really surprised Ole Miss did not go with the lefty Trent to negate all the lefties in the Cavs lineups. Ole Miss though as you said, no slouch. I'm playing the total. I think UVA continues to hit well and although Ellis has good numbers, he's hittable. Kirby got beat up a little by Maryland, so that will give Ole Miss hope and the Rebs can rake. One of those gut feeling plays.

    Pick #4: Virginia-Ole Miss Over 8 @ -110

Louisville v. Texas @ 3pm ET. Kidson vs. French. Some storms likely later in the evening. if the forecast is correct, more likely to effect UCI-Vandy.Winds will be back to pounding in from the S/SE which of course means zero carry.

Forming a play on the afternoon game.

    Pick #5: [6.16] Louisville +115
Elimination game. This is going to come down to execution on offense. Both pitchers have bouts of wildness. Small ball suits UT, but they could not get the big hit in Game 1 and paid for that late as Irvine came back. Louisville got their bats going a bit late against Vandy, but definitely have the edge overall on offense. Kids on needs a good start and not to put his team in a hole as he did against Kennesaw in the Supers.

Texas by the numbers, but both can be had and short on experience.
