    yep that was the 1 stat in my handicapping that made me only bet Texas for 1 unit and not more. Weaver has always been a great April pitcher and 1st half pitcher. But until Ham starts hitting it will be tough to back the Angels.

    Darvish is used to high pitch counts, so I wouldn't completely rule out his ability to step up tonight and do well, but when you combine the context of his last start and remember the reason for the high pitch count, a letdown isn't so far fetched. There's a reason it's a good idea to fade pitchers coming back from perfect games, and while Darvish didn't get it, he was so close.

    Did anyone really think Hamilton would have a good series? Probably more pressure on him in this series than at any time all year. Guy let the fans get in his head in Game 1 with the boos and some of them [probably Opie] started talking shit to the wife and kids. Jesus can't win every AB. Guy should be thankful he gets this out of the way early. I'd expect Pujols to carry this club and anything Hamilton gives them is gravy. Pujols is probably the happiest guy in Cali.
