    where have you been? This has been posted since the season started. Havnt you been reading any articles on the teams? Everyone already knew the format would be this way...... Do you actually bet MLB baseball? It has been talked about by the MLB network and ESPN networks all year. And articles have been written about the 1 year change

    What does this have to do with betting baseball?

    I was wondering why the actual decision was made -- what was the reasoning behind it?

    really? so are you saying you dont research any of the games...... Are you saying you just look at a line and pick a team? Its like you dont even turn the television on then and watch the high lights ? Like really? Betting Baseball has everything to do with it? The actual decision behind it was because of the addition of the Wild Card teams? Like seriously old man?

    It goes something like this: the World Series' schedule was set before they added the play in game. To accommodate the game and keep everything on schedule, they had to eliminate an off day somewhere. I guess the 2-2-1 format in a 5 game series involved 2 off days (travel days and/or rainout makeup days), so they cut a travel day off with a 3-2 format. They can't have the higher seed team at home for the first three games so the lower seed team gets the first two at home.

    Next year it will go to 2-2-1 because they will add the extra days to accommodate the format......end the season on Sunday instead of a Wednesday like they have the last two seasons.

    WTG playing a 162 game regular season and then not being able to find a couple of extra days to accomodate for a proper postseason.

    That said, I won't be complaning if the Giants win their 2 home games vs the Reds this weekend.

    I'm lost. Why, again, is this question related to how I gamble?

    Of course I watch games/highlights/track stats, etc. What does that have to do with a question about why the worse team is getting two home games to start a series?
