At what point do you just start fading the Yankees?

Team is just flat out not that good. Pretty crappy pitching overall and especially with the injuries to the bullpen. Lineup has the potential to be decent but Girardi insists on filling out the same old tired lineup card day in and day out.

You know you will always get inflated lines with the Yankees, it's just the nature of the biz. I would imagine a straight fade would be profitable over the course of the year.

Team probably won't even be a threat to make the playoffs.

i dont blindly fade any team.

i have faded the angels and phillies (at home) in certain spots for a profit this year.

You missed the train pal....Yankees always start out kinda slow like this and turn it on in June/July

Just going through a rut right now, they will be in the playoffs yet again

    Monday night?

Paulino is very good. Kuroda isn't. Line should be about +140.

Kuroda continues to get insane lines. He was only good because he loved playing in LA. He's out of his element in the Bronx.

Yankees suck. How about A-rod today when he thought he hit one out. Loser only has warning track power anymore without the steroids.

I don't know why everyone says the Yankees will turn it on soon. Talk about completely missing the point re: how valuable Robertson and Rivera are to that bullpen.

Even with them, that team is a joke. What cracks me up is Girardi continuing to hit A-Rod 3 or 4 in the lineup. The guy is beyond washed up. Teixeira is a joke as well but he continues to hit 5th.

Teix at least has the excuse that he usually starts slow.

    A-Roid is done. Agree.

    They also miss Gardner.

with no Gardner they are good fade material every 4 out of 5 games (I don't dare fade CC). I honestly believe when they get the one of the best spark plugs in the majors back (Gardner) they'll come alive again

Arod is going to go on fire for a while.

    It will happen.

Hughes and Kuroda will both be at or just above .500 for the rest of the season.

CC will have a few lights out starts.

Pettite will picth .500 ball at least.

And this will keep them in the playoff race, they will be above .500 team for rest of season on bats alone.

Battling for playoff spot, not leading the race or anything, just in the hunt till last week or two for certain.

    Dont count out

I'd say the Yankees are probably the 3rd best team in their division behind TB and TOR right now. Their pitching is shaky but their offense has the potential to make up for that. Still early, but this is not a dominant Yankee team.

That being the case, I would think about fading the other NY team before fading NYY.

    Since 2007:

Yankees in the month of April and May: 160-140 (-38.00)

Yankees in the month of June and July: 169-97 (+20.08)

Didnt even look at any stats, just a Yankee fan who sees this scenerio every season.......People always laughing about how the Yankees are too old and done in May, but by August they are leading the East

    Never fails

I would fade them but not for more than stretches of 3 games or so. Reason why is even though AROD is sucking, this offense is still explosive with Cano & Granderson. Through in the year Jeter is having and you get the point. They're going through a stretch right now where the offense sucks roosters but every team will have stretches like these.

I'm no Yankees fan but auto fading this offense is russian roulette especially when they hit their stride again which can happen at any given moment.

I wouldn't fade them today. Kuroda isn't as bad as his ERA suggests. He's had 2 horrible games, 1 mediocre game and 5 really good games. He had a 3.50 era before the jays game.

He's never been the type of pitcher to have 2 bad outings in a row. Yankees hitters worry me a bit but i don't think the Royals get much today.
