All-time lowest posted total for MLB ??

I remember seeing an under 5.5 (-115) last year, but pretty sure there must've been something lower than that

All time? Depends on whether they were posting totals back before world war 2. I'm sure there were some pretty ridiculous over/unders if they were.

I think there may have even been 15s back when the ball was launching out of Coors Field.

Those games were common, the lines were like that all the time.

Lines were really 15-16 at Coors? They should have forced them to move the fences back. That wouldn't have fixed it completely, more triples and doubles but it'd help a little.

they already had the deepest fences by far, it is more than just the homers you have to play deep so cheap singles, bloop doubles, breaking pitches don't break so more hard hit balls

I remember lots of 15 run totals in Colorado's first park.

I would think that some of Drysdale and Koufax's starts against another quality starter would have been around 5 if they were putting up totals in the 60's.

Rockie games at the "Rock Pile" when Castilla was basing 40 taters, and Walker was hitting .360 were routinely 13.5's +
Those teams could flat out rake with Ellis Burks, and a young Todd Helton, and Dante Bichette.

Not to mention their starting five all had ERA's over 5 and were gas cans.

I was at the Greg Maddux vs. Orel Hershiser game during Hershiser's great season during his long stretch of shutout innings. I think there was only 2 balls hit out of the infield the entire game and they were bloopers. 1-0 game won by the Dodgers. I can't imagine that line being higher than 5! I think there were only 3 total hits and 2 of those were infield hits and one blooper.

In Japanese baseball, you see 4.5 many times a year. I've already seen it 4 times already this year.
This league is all about pitching. They have more than 20 pitchers whose era is under 2.00. Unreal.

makes sense. even in little league, they dominate usually.

I think I remember that Cubs game. There was like a 30 mph wind blowing out at Wrigley after a front had just went through.
