Philip Humber is by far the worst pitcher to ever throw a perfect game

Guy is 5th starter at best and probably out of league in 2 years.

Humber is very young and still has a long way to go. There will be a lot of ups and downs. He has the stuff though -- that much is certain.

Kind of hard to compare. It's not like they have the same age/experience.

Humber has No. 1 starter stuff.

well since you are so sharp i would have figured you would know pitchers coming off of perfect games dont fare well their next time out.

also the red sox bats are starting to heat up recipe for disaster

I think you are confused on Humber. This kid isn't 24-25... hes 29. He will lose velocity in a year or two... now is the time if he's ever going to be elite. You might have thought he was young due to his inexperience but it took him a long, long time to get up here.

Braden's career ERA is actually below Humber's... but on top of that, Braden is better positioned to improve than Humber because he is a little younger and a lefty.

His last full season (2010) he had a 3.50 ERA and a 1.16 ERA. He improved from 2007 to 2010. You are basically saying Braden sucks because he got hurt last year?

You seriously know nothing about baseball. Braden > Humber...

in the modern era (defined as 1900 till now) Bobo Holloman is your answer. Pitched a no hitter in his first ever carreer start with the St Louis Browns 1953. Major league debut April 18, 1953......last mlb appearance July 19, 1953. 3-7 Carreer record in 22 appearances 5.23 era. Pre 1900 it was Bumpus Jones. Bumpus also pitched a no hitter in his first ever career start for the cincinatti reds.Carrer record 2-4 with a 7.99 era

Sash, perfect games are different than no hitters.
