How does Verlander do Against the Red Hot Batting Mets Today?

Verlander is 8-0 with a 1.77 ERA in his last 11 starts. But the Mets lineup has scored 52 runs in their last 4 games. What happens today?

finally someone created a thread about this game, this is by far the most interesting line of the day....the question is are the Mutts the sucker bet of the day, can't believe I"m saying that but what they have done the past handful of games speaks for itself but on the otherhand Verdy has been unreal.... I just don't see how you can pass up over 2:1 on your money the way the Mutts have been swinging the bat, regardless who is throwing against them....only time will tell if it was a sucker bet but might have to make a small investment on the 2:1 Mutts

But remember the other pitcher also, in Pelfrey for the Mets, who has a 6.65 road ERA this season.....

Good pitching beats good hitting. Verlander is better than good lately, almost unhittable.

I guess we can all pull up stats and back our side, Tiger's averaging over 6 runs over Ver's last 3 and averaging 4.5 runs in all his starts. I'm personally not going to play this game because I'm not comfortable enough to lay that kind of juice and I'm also not sharp enough to jump on 2 to 1 on the streaking Mets. Best of luck on anyone's play here.

mets have stolen like a million bases vs the tigers catch (name?). Reyes is batting like 700 the last week+ and has stolen like a dozen bases, he alone could win them this game 3-2. Pelrey is a wild card has been great at home terrible on the road the question is will he put it all together

I think Verlander beats Mets. He is the best pitcher in MLB right now.

You got to go with Verlander but it is scary, from detroit and don't like them right now.

The Tigers are really making Pelfrey work, he has thrown 53 pitches through only 2 innings, hopefully the Mets bullpen can put up some "0's" if they want to win....

In the end Verlander wins over the Mets hitters. 7 innings of solid one run baseball. Congrats to anyone who took the Tigers.
