The Cardinals offense is officially dead and their pitching is following

Pujols leaving has turned them into the worst team in the league

I understand they are playing good pitching but they also have their 2 best on the mound as well, they're scoring about 1 1/2 runs a game since Pujols left and giving up about 8 a game, the Phils are up 3-0 and you can leave the stadium early

Theres a "race to 3 runs" prop at sportsinteraction you may think about taking the other teams in that everytime as theres a good chance the Cards cant score 3 runs anyway so its kinda like a freeroll

so basically nothing different than the last 10 years or so at this point in the season. They do this ever year. EVERY year.

Every season, it never fails that they find ways of playing some of the poorest baseball in such long stretches you will ever live to watch.

really???? your basing this off one and half games ??

I understand they are playing good pitching but they also have their 2 best on the mound as well
no they are not playing a good pitching staff... they are facing two of the best pitchers.

and no Kyle McClellan and Kyle Loshe are not two of their best yet they've allowed just 11 hits a 4 runs in 14 IP.

they're scoring about 1 1/2 runs a game since Pujols left and giving up about 8 a game
you're aware Pujols has missed one game before tonight right?

A good team will adjust. It will takes some time for the manager to fine tune the rotation. No one expected SF to win the WS last season. The Cards still have a chance.

2 games since Pujols left and 1 run scored while 14 given up, you do the math and yes McClellan and Loshe are 2 of their top 3 along with Garcia all with about a 3 ERA, who do you think is better Carpenter with around a 5 ERA and 1-7 on the year or Westbrook with an over 5 ERA?

they have played the best pitcher in baseball and cliff lee who has given up 1 run total in his last 33 innings pitched... give them more then two games vs these two pitchers before making crazy statements

Pujols took the magic, realize it now and make money before the bookies wake up and start posting totals of 6 or realize it later when you're broke

Both with about a 3 ERA, would've expected 6 runs for the 2 games, instead got 1 run in the last 2 games, YOU DO THA MATH!!!

Pujols put fear in the pitchers as the best hitter in the league, there is no fear now, stick a fork in the Cards THEY'RE DONE

Cards will win 2marro. i guess its easy for me not to overreact because i knew what was in store for these 2 games. McClellan pitched a excellent game on monday so not sure how their pitching going out the window, Loshe was solid as well. all the earned runs you speak of came from a bullpen blowup (not uncommon for them), pretty much all that needs to be done is get the pen in order either by trade or by their farm system (steps have already begun with Bautista being released and Lynn being called up to take his spot, young kid + arm) now they need to get the fuk rid of the 2 lefty "specialist" i use that term lightly as Miller has let opposing lefties on base at a .400 clip and Tallot .500 obp, wont be long till these fukksticks are gone and the young lefty they have that has thrown 16 innings of relief with 16 ks 6 hits and 1 walk in aaa will be up to replace them. Soon after that im sure you will See Cards make a few moves that no one pays much attention to, like trading for some vet used to be closer that Duncan can resurrect.

Of coarse the offense is struggling, STL was hurting before Albert went down. Freeze will be back very soon and he is a legit 5 hitter which they dont currently have with Holliday and Puma having to move up in the order. by all star break Craig will be back and all a sudden there wont be many holes in this lineup again.

The best part is you cant get buried in this div because everyone is inconsistent as shit. Mil cant win a road game to save their lives (unless you count beating the Fish). One day cincy cant pitch then the next they cant hit. So be all dramatic and act like its over but in reality come mid-aug mil/cin/stl and hell maybe even the Buccos will all be within 5-6 games of each other. Because this is the nl central and thats the way it goes.
