They will still lose to either Yankees or Redsox in the playoffs.

-----------They look pretty good right now. Lots of baseball left to play.

i agree---nice 7 game lead but the tigers could get hot and catch them

.320 risp, bullpen #1. The rest means zero. If this continues they will be in the playoffs for certain.

yeah just like lakers wouldn't allow themselves to get swept out of the playoffs in their quest for a 3-peat.

    silly statement sir.

Don't think it's so much luck though... they are playing great baseball. Every game comes down to who can score the most runs in 9 innings. They are the best at staying in games and scoring late into games. In baseball, this is a sign of a good team, not luck.

no, they will lose 40 of their next 65 games to be at 55-55 with 52 left to play and will lose 30 of those to end up a disappointing 77-85...

why does everyone want cle to start scoring and screw up a good thing with their unders been on a pretty nice under tick the last month and a half or so, really nice if you take out the series after the all-star break.

They just picked up Ubaldo. My team could do some damage down the stretch.

Hoping Ubaldo will take Carmona out of the rotation... I can barely stand watching games he starts anymore. I'm a diehard but realistic fan, their pitching has been consistently solid (except Carmona and occasionally Carrasco) but where oh where has the O gone?? It'll be a nailbiting last 50 games or so.

FUKO = Orlando is a wash...one stinks of losing..and the other was washed up...so it is a wash...

Jimenez is sweet...that could help...but they need a guy that gets on base....works the count...FUKO...nah...they still need a guy that can get on....

The Indians gave up alot for Ubaldo, so hopefully it turns out worth it. The Indians need Choo healthy, the staff will look like Masterson, Ubaldo, Tomlin, Carassco, and Carmona

Yup. Picking up a guy who, aside from last season (which was an aberration), has a 3.66 ERA in the National League, not to mention a 4.46 ERA this season automatically makes your team viable. They still don't have anyone to legitimately throw against Verlander.

yeah the indians should still be in rebuilding mode and not buyers. they aren't good enough to be trading a bunch of their young assets. fan pressure influence bad decisions being made by the front office. this will hurt the indians in the long run.

he isn't even that good of a pitcher. he stuff is ace material but he is so bad at command not to mention he has been losing velocity. his arm action is terrible leading to long term injury risk. the question indians fans should be asking themselves is why would colorado be wanting to trade him so badly? its not like they are having a fire sale trying to rebuild.

some regression coming up, back to his old self. last year he started 15-1 on the terrible rockies. that era does not mean very much in my opinion.
