Who is on Goffin +250 with me?

    He will take out Llodra.

Not just because TI has Llodra staked 30:1 either

    But that certainly helps.

Goffin is a great play whilst you sleep

hit Bedene tonight with a similar play and movement, and hometown fade

    Straight Feb 19 MU [4030] D GOFFIN +240 (M LLODRA vrs D GOFFIN) 500.00 USD / 1200.00 USD 26077755

Not sure why you would even toss a penny on Goffin after his performance against Nieminen.

That is the question someone skilled in the arts of handicapping a sport, such as yourself, would ask.

But there is a side to this business that deals only in percentages, and in numbers. It is driven by monetary influences that I like to think are the ultimate truths, or the answers.

Rarely is making money sports betting easy. Llodra is priced too cheap to be this easy. The evidence is that 34/35 people have chosen Llodra at this price. Did the book feel charitable? Or is this another case where the book provides the answer, and we should find the question?

clemson covered the 1st half, 2nd half, and game yesterday against Miami. How profitable was that for the sportsbook? Profitable enough to ensure its outcome?

West Virginia closed on a huge run on the road to end the game, and cover the +3, -105 2h line which opened and never budged, but even better the -10.5 game line. It was nothing short of a statistical miracle. And I would argue there were clues in the way the 2h line behaved and was juiced which predicted that outcome.

granted, applying such a conspiracy approach to tennis may not reap the rewards of basketball. but how easy could it be to affect a tennis outcome? My bet tonight is much for amusement. But these principles applied to basketball are extremely profitable. Line behavior can show what side a book has taken. Figuring this out is the only way to make money long term.

I am not selling books, and don't need attention. I just made this thread to point out how strange it is that 34/35 bettors have taken Llodra, but the line has moved toward Goffin.

    So lets see what happens!

Usually i would go for goffin but as 2013 hit him he hasnt been doing so well. where as llorda has been playing with confidence. goffin just lost his last match 6-0 6-0 to jarkko nieminen. but if he's fixed himself up since last match there might be a possibilty he takes a set.

The question still remains: Why did Llodra pull out of Rotterdam?

he was in the final in double(he won!!) and 1/2 final in single.....i think he pulled out cause of general tireness and to be ready for Marseille....i dont think he was hurt at all!!!

ESPN had this to say about llodra dropping out "Also, Frenchman Michael Llodra dropped out of the tournament through illness before his match with Julien Benneteau."

Those two were-are doubles partners and have been known to "play" each other to the result that best benefits one player who might need the points, etc. That illness was probably mostly bs IMO.
