The book has some good info, a lot of it I knew already and would have rather not seen in print but I've been doing this for a while. The sportsbook ratings were just strange though, BetUS and Bodog as recommended?
Wanted or not, BetUS is one of the big guys. I am kind of new here and it didnt take long to realize that SBR site in general has their very solid and unmovable opinion towards this place, and I dont think anything they do will change that, well, except, suddenly sponsoring half the banners on the site, then you will see a slow upgrade on their qualifications due to some silly progress, etc, etc, until they are on a B+ level and all is good with the people.
I played there a while ago and do not have complains, having sharp or square lines is not new in the industry, so seeing people surprise about it is kind of funny. It is like a store, you dont like the price, dont buy it, look for other one. What they are offering to you is what counts.
I lost, they collected, I won, they payed. The site is solid, and their options are many. Now on the other hand people complaining about books is also not new in ANY forum, there is ALWAYS someone complaining about about something, customer service too rude, chat not responsive, free plays too many x, payouts too slow, at the end is mainly a lot of whining.
So no worries there, it is not my main book now, but they are not going anywhere, your money will be fine.
Losing bettors often step up to defend BetUs, but why not. If you don't cash out use anyone.
The dual lines are ****** here because they don't give the other side. Example if you see a team +7.5 when everyone else is +6.5 try betting +7.5 it always says line moved to +6.5. Then go to bet -7.5 it takes it no problem. This isn't just simple case of dual lines its dealing +6.5 / -7.5 depending which side you want to take.
As far as money being safe, no try again:
Sportsbook.com, SIA, BetEd all fine for a recreational player. I wouldn't keep too much cash with those books, but they are fine. BetUs is just a flat out scam site. If you like them and think they are great - you're probably a loser. Not sure this talk about hidden gem, but I've never known anyone able to cash out five figures hassle. Of course they'll let you run your balance to infinity and never cut you off, but once you cash out $10K expect to be put on a $2500 per week list which ends up coming late and getting renegotiated over and over all the meanwhile scared if you go to a forum you might not get paid as they already have a horrible reputation as is, and a ton of people to shill for them.
If you're playing small limits and don't think that applies to you, think again. If you're a small bettor and not profitable to them (several cashouts no deposit) they'll soon find a way to drive you out.
People recommending BetUs: 1) Losers 2) Mentally Challenged and/or Naive 3) People getting paid to do so.
I know you guys dont like the alert services that we, europeans, use but DonBest is absolutely 0 in front of the alert services that an arber, or a pro player could use.

There are 35-40 alert services in the free market. These are the best, and i would stick with them.
