Unibet blocked my account because i used a virus

    Dear SBR,

I need some help regarding the following issue regarding sportsbook Unibet. Excuse me if this is not the right place to post this and sorry for my poor english

A while ago i got an bonus offer from them.I would get an 100% deposit bonus if i made an deposit and i had to wager it a X number of times.
I discovered that i could reduce the wagering requierments to the half of it.

So lets say they ask u to wager 50 times, but i found a way to do it in 25 times. So i contacted their support and told them i found a way to
go by their wagering requierments and told them i would be happy to tell them how to do that in return i would liked to be compensated for the information i was about to give.
    '
Next thing i know, they closed my account stating the following rules in their T&C:

4.7 The use and abuse of a bug in any of the gaming software provided on Unibet platform is illegal. The player detecting a bug on the gaming software must inform Unibet as soon as the bug is discovered by contacting site name at info@unibet.com . Unibet shall take all necessary measure in case of a use and/or abuse of a bug from a player as blocking of the player account, freezing of the funds and eventually legal proceedings.

So they closed my account and freezed my balance.

The thing is they have no grounds on closing my account. I never said i exploited a bug or anything like that. I just used their own wagering requierements ans found a way to do it 2 times as fast, without using any kind of bug or malfunction.

Can you help me get my account back and my balance? as i have done nothing wrong here, and they wont reply on any emails.

    Kind regards.

It sounds like you followed this required procedure, but went a little bit farther and tried to extort them. The rule, it seems, requires you to inform them of the "bug" without the demand for payment ( this is not expressly stated, but is implied ).

You probably don't want to say what this method is yet, since it is your ace-in-the-hole, but I have a sneaky suspicion that you have missed something and this method of reducing roll-over by half will not work. Wanna bet?

I know for a fact is does actually work.Else i wouldnt even bother contacting them, just on a hunch.

Im not trying to extort them whatsoever, they never told me hey listen we dont do bussines like this and where not giving you ****. All they did say was first give us a little bit of info and we can talk about it. After i said no, they went ahead and blocked my account stating i was using some kind of bug or virus.

And its not even close to those 2 things. After they reopen my account ( if they ever will do that ) ill post it here. Its kind of abvious aswell... cant really believe they missed that.

Just to be clear, its not a bug!

    so yeah, ill bet.

well got some great news.... not.

SBR told me there is nothing they can do, and that Unibet can close accounts whenever they want and they dont even have to give u an reason, as long as they pay you the money thats in your account while closing.

If they dont do that u have to contact the Malta LGA. And file an complaint

    So im f*cked?

books in general are not interested in rewarding players for helping them, so there just wasn't going to be a good outcome.

yeah realized that now. kind of weird tho, if i was a book and i was loosing money. I would want to know how and why and try to fix that. This is just stupid. What iam wondering is how can this book get an B- at sbr.

Also sbr cannot do anything for people having disputes as they dont work together with unibet, So id say either downgrade them or try and resolve disputes.

Its just bs they can sloe ur account anytime they want without giving an reason why they did that.

Dude, they asked you to tell them the issue. Why did you say no? To extort them maybe? I assume that's how it looked to them. And I can't think of any other excise you could have had for saying no when asked myself.

It's very unfair to keep your balance, but geez mate, don't be acting like a scammer if you don't want to be treated like one

I never said no. Thats the point, i told them what the possibilties where, all they said was first till us how and what then we can talk. I said id rather first have it on writing or something else before i say something, or else it would have been pointless. If they would have said no sorry sir we dont do things like that or anything or we cant help u with that i would have told them.

They where just looking for a cheap way out once they realised they couldnt they just locked me out and froze my balance.

They said, give us an idea what we are dealing with so we can look into it... so i gave them an idea, i told them it was an bonus issue. Wasnt enough for them probably, so they sent me an email stating i was using a virus to earn money... which is not even close. So dont say im a scammer

I didn't mean to suggest you are a scammer. Although saying "After I said no" in one post, then saying "I never said no" a couple of posts later does not add to your credibility.

Can you not see that the way you acted came across like an extortionist? Step back and think about it from the books point of view and you might see that yourself.

Not to say they should take your balance.

I think your best course of action would be to ring the manager, explain you didn't mean any harm, tell them whatever you think you know and ask nicely that they return your balance.

From their point of view they have a guy who potentially has found a loophole in order to get around the roll-over requirements for their bonus. Whether true or false, why would they even want to deal with a guy who is only interested in subverting their rules - because if you had no interest in doing that, then how would you find this supposed loophole in the first place.

They have no choice but to close you really - I know if I was a book I would rather just close the account up and avoid any future headaches.

They should however pay you your balance, but only once they have gone through your betting history etc to make sure that you haven't in fact been using a loophole to get round rollover requirements - if no evidece of that, then should send your balance back to you.

Your point about downgrading just because they dont deal with SBR in regards to disputes is a tricky one - just because they dont deal with SBR it doesnt necessarily mean that they are in fact a scambook - it just makes it a lot harder for SBR to defend any disputes. If a book prefers any disputes to go through the jurisdiction that gave them the gaming licence in the first place, then again that is their right as ultimately that is the people that have to justify their decisions with in order to keep their licence.

They can go check the history as this is the first time ive ever gotten an bonus from them. I looked at it and saw the wager requierements. I found them strange because alot of other casinos have the same offer as they have.Only theirs are solid and unibets isnt.

    ill give an example:

Lets say ur in a race. U see a bunch of stairs and an elevator. The guy ur racing uses the stairs, u go on and use the elevator. U get up first and win. Nowhere in the rules was stated u had to use the stairs or could not use the elevator. What im trying to say is, if u see something u can use and nowhere is stated in the rules u cannot use something, then why wouldnt you?.

And yeah sure maybe they are right for closing my account, but they have no right confiscating my balance because ive done nothing wrong according to their terms and agreements. I did not use a bug nor a virus as they are claiming.

Ive already sent an email to the manager to sort it out. But no response whatsoever, so ill wait and see.As sbr cant help me with this.

Chances are you are wrong about the angle anyway, so just tell us.

How can you be so sure about what they count and don't count for rollover before making a cashout request btw?

    Why do you say that..

Im sure because it was stated in the rules of the bonus. When you deposit u can see what u can withdraw and what not freely. After requierements where done, the whole ammount was free to withdraw, so conditions where met.

Anyway, ill wait and see what they will say, if they will even reply. If i didnt get an answer yet by the end of the week i will post it here.

This is why it is a bad idea to share strategy ideas etc with other posters... because you never know when a douchebag like the OP is going to try and sell the information to the books. I hope Unibet kept your funds.

Trying to close loopholes for other players for his own benefit, what a fukktard. OP is the same guy at the casino that lets the dealer know that they miscounted and gets payouts removed from other players... if he thinks that the casino will reward him.

As long as they refund your account balance then you have nothing to complain about. You went to them with something you think you caught in their software, a loophole. You now get mad and upset that they won't agree to compensate you in some way before you give them info about the bug? Come on man.

    Read carefully.

Im not mad about that, i wouldnt care less. if they would have told me no sir sorry no can do, i would drop it. Worth a shot no?

All they did and what im "mad" about is. they accuse me of using a virus or a bug, close my account and freeze my balance.

Thats what pissed me off. They have no grounds on accusing me of that and closing my account een keeping my balance..

They can show you to the door for any reason or no reason. So long as they pay your account balance out you have nothing to complain about. You can't get mad about them being upset that you are basically threatening them and try to extort them.

No. Not worth a shot the way you went about it.

Maybe it was worth shot to ask for compensation, but when people do a deal there is such a thing as "acting in good faith". And both parties need to show it. You should not expect people to act nicely if you sound like you want to blackmail/extort them.

And this shit about "I'm only mad because they accuse me of using a virus" is either denial or you are as thick as two short planks.

"Next thing i know, they closed my account stating the following rules in their T&C:

Their rule says you must report a bug when discovered. You contacted them to report a bug you had used to complete rollover early. Which was pretty thick to start with, you needed to tell them BEFORE you exploited it to expect any thanks let alone compensation.

Telling them afterward, even without acting like an amateur extortionist, is just mindlessly bonkers.

But it's already become obvious you are never going to see that, let alone act smart enough to get your money back.

Goodbye. You are the weakest link.
