This is what I get after 20 yrs with the same company.
Crossing out the security. comp (cuz hey you never know who's watching) but this is literally more of a slap in the face than getting zilch. Biggest mistake of my life was sticking with this job so long delusionally thinking after 3 to 5 yrs I'd be a pro gambler & just quit. Could've at least gotten a job with a pension after 20 yrs instead (cop, postal workers, etc)
So what do you do for work? And what award did you pick?
So they gave you 25.00 bucks per year extra for this.
Stay positive and turn this 500 into 5 G

So you thought you would become a big time gambler and instead, you became a big time rent-a-cop. Why does this not surprise me about people in here?

Is that right Krakhead?.. Let me explain to you how it works in the security industry. Whatever wage they pay me per hour they make 3× that amount from the comp. they're contracted with. It's way more beneficial to them to have one guard for 20 years instead of constantly rehiring & training guards for the same position, numb nuts.
The reason why I posted this is because $500 is such a joke of an amount for 20 yrs (people are complaining about $600 stim. checks) I understand this job doesn't come with a pension but if you're gonna award people after 20 yrs the least you could do is 1K. Neither is exactly life changing money but at least that form of recognition is way more symbolic than 500 which is less than 1 paycheck.

Bottom line. You are a rent-a-cop which is the very bottom rung of the law enforcement field. Why did you not choose to do better or get a better job. You don't have to answer that. I think the answer is obvious.
They sold the business and accounts to somebody else. They had a lot of government accounts at the border and all the BkofAma accounts.Might as well say what it is G4S.. Considering how much they make it, it's the least they could do.

Dougie, congrats on your success. I know $500 isn’t much but being acknowledged does matter. Never forget who you work for- yourself and you’ve succeeded. Says a lot about someone to put in 20 years doing anything. Let alone, the same company. Stability and routine is important in today’s chaos. Best of luck.
