Lose the carbs? The healthiest, longest-living people heavily eat grains and dairy. Fruits and veggies are carbs. Lose the refined carbs, except for white rice (when combined with a protein source, such as beans).

180.... Lost 22 pounds since mid-summer by eliminating junk food at night. Been an avid runner most of my life, but I was only making things more difficult for me from a running standpoint by keeping the weight on. Twenty years ago, I could eat anything I wanted whenever I wanted and I would still maintain a good weight. Not today. I had a VERY healthy diet in terms of meals, but at night I feasted on chips and any other snack food that crossed my path. Eliminated that, never added to any additional time / distance to my runs, and the weight went off.

Exercise is very important to overall health, but in terms of weight loss, a proper diet goes MUCH further in quickly melting off the pounds.

Dairy is no good pal, leads to bloating and constipation. Refined carbs are even worse (obviously what I meant by carbs).

no bread tortillas or gluten. Fruits veggies fish and chicken all day.

Perhaps dairy is bad for *you*, but you can't say that dairy in general is not good, when the people that live the longest, healthiest lives (centenarians in Blue Zones) commonly have dairy and grains in their diet. You saying no bread, tortillas nor gluten goes against all common logic. How are they bad for you, yet they are the main diets of centenarians that live in Blue Zones?

Here in Costa Rica, we have a Blue Zone in the Nicoya Peninsula. Their diet is extremely heavy in grains, including bread, tortillas, rice, beans, corn, and root vegetables.

If what you say is true, then how are such a large concentration of these people living to be over 100 years?

Sammy, is your recent weight-gain the reason you're not making new videos?

People need to understand that you're an Adonis, and the reason for your extra padding was a movie role you have in an upcoming film with DiCaprio.

    Make some new videos, Sammy!

If it has a wrapper don't eat it. Get some veggies, lean meat, and a few fruits. Lose weight in the kitchen and get in shape in the gym.

How about a new years resolution to lose weight.

Start by walking an hour and a half every day with a proper diet, lean protein and salads for your meals.

Once your health is a little bit better join the gym, stronglifts program. Don't go for a run after you lift, keep it to a long walk and run in your off days.

One year and you won't be an embarrassment.

If you guys want to lose the weight, you need to follow basically any diet plan, but remember.....YOU CANNOT FOLLOW THE PLAN FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

Diets are not designed for the long-term. They are temporary solutions to lose weight.

Any popular diet plan that can be found on the internet is going to work (Atkins, Nutri System, Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, etc). If you stick with the diet you WILL lose weight (Fat).

After the diet, if you want to keep the weight (Fat) off you need to make a permanent change to your eating habits where everything is well balanced in moderation. It's okay to have a cheeseburger....but not 4 times a week.

I dropped 30 lbs a couple years ago and did it by eating small, light, low-fat meals during the day and only protein at night before 9:00. By doing this I dropped mad weight during my sleep. I would take a piss in the morning and be 1-3 lbs lighter than I was before going to bed. My weight yo-yo'ed a little bit, but I did not plateau.

I gained the weight back because I was not willing to permanently change my eating habits. I love wings, pizza and all that shiit.

i was 228 lbs 5'9 and always feeling tired and sleepy. no enthusiasm to do anything. i have started a strict diet regime and now do power walks and lifting . i also play tennis more these days . i am down to 206 lbs . 180-185 lbs would be optimal based on my frame. but its gonna take work. tennis and swimming and jogging are my focus. when i sleep though my stomach roars for food. its tough to ignore. hurts too almost. but im trying very hard after just getting married. weighing less always better . being slim will never hurt you.
