    GUYS, BEWARE June POKER LAW!!!

Just a heads up, I do not play poker, but just read article in my new FORBES magazine, saying that the Justice Dept is going to shut down online gambling this June by going after companies that process their tranactions. Pokerstars and FullTilt account for 70% of 1.4 billion of revenue the U.S. brought in last year.
However, our beloved BARNEY FRANK , D-Mass, is backing a bill that would make online poker legal and TAXED.
Last summer, fed prosecutors froze 34 million owed to 14,000 players that processed payments from poker games, COULD HAPPEN AGAIN this JUNE!!!
    Check out the article.

This isn't worth freaking out about. If one processor shuts down another will pop up. It's supply and demand, basically. As long as there is a demand to gamble online, somebody will be there to provide it.

June 2010 is delayed date, when UIGEA should be enforced.

Jesus Christ, they obviously delayed it so that they could buy time for Frank's bill to legalize and "tax" it (though I don't know how good the controls will be).

    Quit trolling.

Hopefully the UIGEA ( Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act ) Bill shall be pushed back a date further again. Basically, the government wants a piece of the action of U.S. citizens withdrawing funds acquired from offshore host sites into American soil.

Listen this is just one more way they are trying to stiffle our freedoms!!!!!! You tell me how it is legal for you to gamble in Las Vegas but if you do it from your couch, desk or sometimes for me the can it becomes illegal. All they are looking for is a door in to get their sugar on the back end! They know it and you know it. Online gambling is going no where. Look at drinking they tried to take that away from us and guess who got what they wanted.................. WE DID!!!!!!!!! The shiners ran deliveries for years and years and they could not tag all of them. So who's to say we will not do the same thing. But that is even if this stuff is enforced. So I say let's ride this train to hell and watch everything burn.

Yes. And some argue the vague language of the bill means that only poker (and maybe sports betting) would be exempt. In a few states (I only know of California and PA) poker is considered a game of skill by law (in PA it's only legal with no rake, however).

Ya and mister I am gonna screw up as much as possible Obama is in. The only good thing I can say is that he has his hands full with other problems. To tell you the truth if the government needs money wouldn't online gambling be a really good place to get it? Put a tax on all payouts. I do not mind if it keeps it legal.

I agree 100% with you on the issue. Hey they legalized Marijuana sales in California. Before you know it, 10 more states will have it legal.

Cash out while you can and build a bankroll by freerolling. That way when they freeze our bankrolls we will not lose much. My friend didn't believe them last time and left $500 on Casino.NET Poker room. My dumbass left $50 on that same site. Needless to say our accounts were locked and our money stolen. I urge you to take your money off before you lose it, they aren't kidding. Like I said freeroll your way up. If you deposit you will be sorely disappointed when this rumor proves true.
