Just Madden 13 Played the Super Bowl and Here are the Results for the Game
Forget guys like Sports Pedodogy and others with their wanna be "expert analysis". I just played Ravens vs 49ers in the Super Bowl 47 on Madden 13 and it was pretty accurate. Of course I had to adjust Collin Kaepernick's rating a little (they were not doing him justice for arm strength or accuracy) and here are the results.
In the first quarter Kaepernick threw a pick off of a Raven's D-lineman deflection to Ed Reed and the Ravens capitalized with a 38 yard field goal as the Niners defense stood pat and only allowed 8 yards of offense in return. Also Raven opening drive a nice slant pass to Torrey Smith for 20 yards and a check down 21 yard pass to Ray Rice set up another Ravens FG from 49 yards out.
It was 9-0 Baltimore as they scored three FG's on their first three possessions. Niner hunkered down and Kaepernick led the Niners to 12 play 72 yard TD drive right before the halftime whistle hitting Randy Moss on a slant pass and he somehow held onto the ball despite getting mauled by a Ravens safety.
Halftime Score: Ravens 9 - 49ers 7
In the second half 49ers defense held Ravens to a three and out drive twice and only gave up one first down the whole quarter. Kaepernick went out with a leg contusion mid way through the quarter and Alex Smith came in and led the Niners to 7 play 42 yard drive midway through the quarter and Nedney hit a 33 yard FG to give Niners the lead.
End of Third Quarter: Niners 10 - Ravens 9
In the fourth quarter after Joe Flacco got three first downs and to the Niner 38 yard line I sacked him with Justin Smith on 2nd and 6 and then he threw an INT on third and long to Shane Spencer trying to hit Anquan Boldin deep up the middle. I then got Kapernick back into the game and ran to QB draws for 16 and 14 yards respectively. Then I ran three straight HB rushes up the gut with Frank Goes and before I knew it I was at the Raven 14 yard line. Hit Vernon Davis on a TE curl route for the TD.
Niners 17 - Ravens 9
Flacco and the Ravens offense come right back next possesion and he hits Dennis Pita up the middle for 22 yards and a first down. Then another check down pass to Ray Rice for 17 yards. THen goes deep to Torey Smith again for a TD pass with 3:21 left in the fourth qtr.
Niners 17 - Ravens 16
Baltimore had all three time outs left and elected to kick it. I put Kendall Hunter into the game and ran him a draw play up the middle for 6 yards. Then gave the ball to Frank Gore on second down and third down he picked up the first down. Then after that it was three more running plays and I punted to Raven with 42 seconds left in the game. Flacco went up top to Bolden again....pass deflected and picked off by Niners.
GAME OVER.
Well those are the results of my Madden play of the Super Bowl we are all about to witness. It seemed pretty accurate and life like to me play it.....with the injuries, blitzes sacks and Flacco INTs.
Ravens were up 9-0 and the Niners offense was sputtering until mid way second quarter but they only trailed 9-7 at the half. Niners offense figured it out in the second half and squeaked by with the 17-16 win.
Take the UNDER 48 points and Ravens +3.5.
