Question For Car Accident Claim Experts

A guy I know asked me to post this

He wants to drive his car and lets his buddy hit him from behind

Then call for emergency help and go through all the therapies and claim health damage and try to settle for 400k and split settlement with other driver

I told him that is fraud and not worth it

He wants to know his chances of winning case????

I am the wrong guy to ask

    Won’t be the first.

Claiming lost or stolen jewelry is #1 Insurance fraud though.

    Not worth it.

Tell “your friend” to get off his ass and do something productive and he may end up with the 200k he is looking for... and legitimately

Pipe dream. He won't get anywhere near that amount unless a limb or extremely serious injury takes place.

400k is out of the question. More like 2k at the most for pain and suffering. And that would have to be a serious injury.

"go through all the therapies and claim health damage "

Claiming doesn't do shit. There would have to be an appointment with a doctor/specialist saying these are the symptoms.

Plus, you wouldn't get 400k. Insurance only pays up to what is written in your coverage; something like 50k

After you tell your friend this will not work... make sure he understands that popping off large wagers on credit is also a bad idea

The insurance company will want the full info of the other party so they can get their insurance info and charge it. Without a police report, good luck frauding their own insurance company.

Slip and fall accidents are the best, JJ.
Maybe look for an icy sidewalk or wet floor.

A co worker got hit by a pretty big truck and it looks like he is going to net about $40k after a surgery he had and attorney fees. So I think the $400K number is way off unless you have a great attorney. And if that’s the case, he’ll end up with most of the proceeds.

JJ, I'll chime in since this is related to insurance.

I have a friend where she was been offered for a life insurance. The thing is, she's out of the country when the plan proceeded and the signature was been forge by the agent, as the agent told her that it will just get fix and real signature will be attached once she'll be home.

Is there a chance that this will be trace and caught? or its time for her to withdraw and stop the plan?

I've been in a jury duty in a similar case ...oh, yeah, that's that too. You have to convince 6 ( plus one alternate ) people of your peers about your racket.
The bitch was claiming she couldn't even function any longer after a car accident. Long story short, the insurance had some dude following her 24/7 with a hidden recorder. And what do you know, the skank who was pretending she was walking on egg shells, got caught picking up her kids in the supermarket and moving a huge counter top with the hubby at the house. Needless to say, she got dick...

Sounds like a dodgy agent but if he signed it with her permission it's unlikely to be a policy killer. Without knowing local laws.

I agree with you, Optional. Forgery is really againts the law, the agent should have explained it well and be strict on the policy rules and not to give false information that this procedure is just fine, especially for those first-timer applicants.

make sure and and tell your friend he needs to make sure he’s going at least 80-100 when he hits you to get the best bang for his buck.

Scope out a spot with a stop sign near a curve that has a couple of trees near it where you can hide out. Wait for the car to get so close that they cant stop and walk out right in front of it like your walking down the street and than wham...

unless he is from Michigan, we have no fault insurance with Unlimited health coverage. Friend nodded off at the wheel and ran off the road hitting shit. told police someone ran him off the road and over the next 2 yrs had treatment for his "injuries" which didnt exist and settled with his own insurance company for 225k. they offered him 65K but with lawyer he got 225k after attorney fee's

Your friend should ask for someone higher up in the agency to contact them and get it in writing from them. Agents for all insurance agencies can be shady. And with Life insurance, they look for any reason to get out of paying if the situation actually does arise.

Before they try to pull this scam, tell them to Google those.

2 year period of contestability on misstatements or misrepresentations. The insured has a 30 Day right to examine the policy when it is issued and delivered and to review the application and signatures. This happens in cases where wives insure husbands, etc. I do not see a big problem here as long as she wants the insurance and is willing to pay for it.
