Hit the Oregon Parlay but, that wasn't until after I entered the $70 daily at Planet Hollywood for $70 & finished 14th of 28.
I bet $15 on the 1st 1/2 under in Louisville, wasn't even close But bet another parlay for $7: Raptors +2, Louisville M/L Gators +13.5 & Duke -8.
    Pays $57.15.

Went to the Excalibur & tried the $2-$6 flex for $60, went up & down while I watched the Sweet 16 & lost $20.
Went to the Luxor to see if could drop my bags off there & bet the Duke -2 game for $15.
Went back to the Excalibur and sat at the $2-$6 flex again with the same result except I only lost $10.
Got to the cage cashed out & because I am a creature of habit I walked past a roulette table that was red, red, red, red, red, red, red, red & I bet $50 on Black hit. Then bet $25 on 1-18 & hit that too.
Bought a pack of cigarettes & have $648. If I can hit that parlay I'll be over $700 when I wake tomorrow & head the Monte Carlo for the $18,000.00 Free Roll.
I think I deserve a drink or two tonight, nothing crazy cause I gotta check out at 11:00 tomorrow.

Between watching Mikejamm's inspiring come from behind victory over yisman in the Daily at 10:00pm last night & the cash game with seaweed & brad where I had my A$$ handed to me, I feel fully prepared to head over to the Monte Carlo & last at least 20-25 minutes!
    Or at least bubble!
Beerdog actually didn't win the daily for a change!!!
BitemeUsAdOj or govols ened up taking all my points, I can't remember.
Special mention to locksmith who looked liked he has a chance to win the Tourney!
Anyway, dunk nation cost me that parlay by a point & half so there will be a huge bet on the Cuse today.
Still not reading your posts & might find myself busy over the next few day but, will still try to update at some point.
    Good Luck!

Put all of his eggs into a freeroll? Lol.....that seems to defy the 'free'roll part of things.....and if he did put all of his eggs (money) into a freeroll, then I guess he was busto already.

Anyway....it was entertaining Jay.....GL building that BR again and taking another shot!

Thread took a huge nosedive when Jay began writing "still not reading your posts". Zapped the energy from the thread.

Saturday was definitely a bitter sweet day.
The free roll was awesome. Of course there was a level of novelty involved, as this was my 1st multi-table tourney in Vegas. All the Regulars were there. Dick, who I refer to as the ROCK finished in the top 20. This guy is like a stone at the table, virtually impossible to get a read off of. Larry & Darryl both finished in the money. These two guys are Monte Carlo poker room residents. The most impressive play was by a woman who they simply referred to a "Mom" I believe she finished 16th, one spot out of the $450 echelon of payouts. Al Shoonmaker plays regularly in this poker room & for those of you who are not familiar with him, he is a writer for Card Player Magazine. My wife is actually at Fashion Show Mall right now looking for a copy so, hopefully I can get him to sign it before he leaves the poker room today. The total combined age of all my new friends here at the Monte Carlo Poker Room is in the neighbourhood of 430 years old! Great people, probably the nicest I've met on my short stint at the Monte Carlo.
The free roll didn't turn out at all like I had hoped it would but, I did not leave the poker room empty handed either.
I think I had mentioned that the free roll provided an ACES CRACKED & KINGS CRACKED Jackpot.
So the blinds are in they're 3rd level and I peek at the 1st card & its a King of Spades, I pull the corner of the second card dealt to reveal a King of Clubs. It's only me & this other player who was actually a nice guy. We had been talking March Madness up to this point & he came out betting on the flop after I had OBVIOUSLY checked pre-flop. He bet a smaller amount on the turn when the 9 came & ironically when the board paired with tens on the river, he sat & thought for a bit & checked after about 45 seconds.
He rolled over a tight, 10's full of nines, I flipped my pocket kings & the dealer yells, "Kings cracked at table 8."
The tournament director came over & said your the last jackpot winner of the day & handed me a voucher for $100.
That was my moment of greatness in the Monte Carlo Free Roll.
I finished 40th out of the 90 player field (out of the money) but, I felt this gave me an enormous amount of experience.
I met a cool guy in the tourney who has been playing poker professionally for a couple years & I met a very interesting girl named Sandra who in addition to having, looks on her side she possesses uncanny poker skills & was nothing but helpful to me & extended to me a few tips that she has learned while gambling professionally in this town since 1999.
I highly recommend playing your 25 hours at the Monte Carlo Poker Room & sitting down in the Monthly Free Roll on Saturday afternoon.
It is certainly an experience I will never forget.
Of course the Cuse came through for me on Saturday & I also had the Blue Jays parlayed with them in 3 other bets.
The Buckeyes cost me on 2 tickets but by the time Saturday had come to an end I had grossed over $270, just gambling.
The reason I say Saturday was bitter - sweet is because that was also the day my wife arrived to mark the beginning of the end of my stay here in Vegas. I spent money with her that I would never have spent if I were intending to stay for another few weeks on my own but, we had a great time. Just went to the box office here at the Monte Carlo to buy Blue Man tickets with my winnings from a late night Black Jack session that saw a $180 profit for the night.
All in all, it has been a great past couple days but the anticipation of having to leave this beautiful city is starting to set in.
When I get back to Canada on Wednesday I'll read all your questions & retarded comments but I think it's likely I will this thread as it is & remember this trip for what it was. A tremendous learning experience & a foundation for what I to be, many more trips to come.

Gotta head back to the poker for just one more session before I leave tomorrow.
I'm really gonna miss those old guys!

Yes doughnuts the tourney is free, being that you don't have to pay an entry on the day of the tournament. They did however take money out of every pot jay won to fund the promotion, as well as $ lost earning the needed hours.

At the Excalibur sportsbook, watching the 2nd 1/2 of the Lakers game.
    $22 on the under 95.5.
    3 live parlays:
    SF Giants & Coyotes
    $5 for $21

Lakers ML & Coyotes & SF Giants
    $5 for $33.60

    Lakers ML & Coyotes
    $5 for $15

Bets are looking good but between the money I spent on the Blue Man Group & the dinner I had at The Brand I'm still down for the past two days. The Brand Restaurant at the Monte Carlo was incredible. I don't want to embellish but, the Tekumseh Rib Eye was the greatest dish I have ever eaten in my life.
The Blue Man Group was alright too but, nothing I would spend that type of money on if I were grinding it out here.

Sorry I couldn't break the 20,000 views barrier but, I think we all knew how this was gonna end.
I don't think this thread would be complete unless there were some sort of moral to this story. I'm sure all the "know it alls" here at SBR will draw their own conclusions but, when I get back to Canada I'm gonna make a Top Ten Lessons to Living in Vegas List.
For a 1st trial run this actually was a great learning experience & when the "Vegas Round II" thread is started, I will hopefully be able to draw on the experience & lessons I learned in theses past three weeks.
Whether you like my writing style or not. Whether you care for me as a person or not.
Regardless of what you think of me or this blog, I think in the end you'll have to admit, it was quite a ride.

At least it was for me.

    Lost?
You need a map to find your way home TT!

Since when do we learn from doing everything right.
Like I said, don't presume to know what lessons I've learned. Know it alls like you don't need to learn anything, you don't need to read my thread nor post in it.

At least I have a trial run under my belt!
    What do you have?
135 hours a week experience in posting from your basement & wishing you had the balls to do what I did.

Good luck to you & your 24 ghost accounts.
Instead of criticizing others, maybe take a look at yourself & decide what it is that you are unhappy about. Pick a personality ( true one, not one filled with your broken dreams) & stick with it!

You might find that these people who degrade you daily will appreciate you a little more.
In the end, we all know that's all that guys like you are looking for on here!

    take care Warrior.

iT WAS GOOD, BUT, THERE WAS A TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY when they strapped a guy into a white suit & we all sat there for 25 mins waiting for the show to resume. I am sure I missed a section of the show that is usually included.

Not in Vegas. I saw them in Palm Springs. There's a bunch of "blue man groups" now, the original dudes run an entire production company.
