Keep breaking this game down boys...

Let me ask you a question... why is a #2 team favored -4 in the #1 team's home dome?

    I rest my case.

Why did the Patriots were favored vs Giants in both Superbowls and Colts favored vs Saints?

Yes, RW is better than Matt Ryan. Idk if you watched the game last week or not. Maybe you were smoking pot.

    I like MoneyShot's arguement

I like this forum too, everyone is nice and mean.. I love it!

I have no idea who is going to win. I hope its the Falcons but I think it's going to be a very tough, close game. I think it basically comes down to Kaepernick.

I can’t believe the confidence here in this 9ers team. There is so much value with Atlanta getting 4points, wow! They are a veteran teamwith major players at all skill positions. The niners are a team with a QB who has played a handful of games and limitedskill at the receiver position while the Falcons are loaded at WRs and anAll-Time TE. Running game is equal andthe defenses are comparable. >
SF D is incredibly over-rated. NE gave the Niners a shit ton of points offturnovers and then made them look like a high school team when Brady put 28straight on them. Seattle embarrassed themand made them look like a powder puff girls D. The Packers moved the ball at will on that vaunted D.>
Kaepernick is reckless, inaccurate and will be turning theball over with picks and a fumble. Hedoes not have the rhythm, poise, or experience to win an NFC Championship Game.>
The Packers gift wrapped points with a muffed punt, turnover, and allowed drives to continue with pass-interference penalties on 3rddown(s). There were tipped balls andjust missed picks by the Packer D. KeyCalls and home cookin with all of the above absent this week will contributethe 49ers demise.>
This team can’t beat the Rams and now they are 4 point faveson the road vs the #1 seed, in a Dome? Are you kidding me?>
Take the 4 points and the money line on the Falcons andlaugh at all those who contributed to the line being set at where it is…..>

One more reason to believe Falcons win.

Expect at least one closely officiated game: Terry McAulay is the referee for the Atlanta-San Francisco game, and Bill Leavy will be handling the New England-Baltimore game. Don't be surprised to see a few extra penalties. The debate is always whether the officials will call a tight game or let the players play. McAulay's games tend to see more penalties than average. His 16.3 penalties per game is tied for the second most among the NFL crews. Cornerbacks need to be cautious, because his crews watch pass interference closely. His crews ranked second with seven illegal contact calls, but only 11 pass interferences were called during his games. The Falcons were the least penalized team in the NFL -- 55 penalties called against them for 415 yards. The 49ers need to be on guard because they had 109 penalties, seventh most in the league. Offensive linemen also need to be careful because his crews watch blockers closely. McAulay's 52 holding calls tied with Ron Winter for the most among the officials. As a result, McAulay's games average 44 points a game, 1.7 below the league average.

How do the Falcons match up well against SF?

    Power Rating Line
The power rating system is based on recent game results. The section should be used to compare the relative strength of the two teams involved. A power line is calculated using both teams ratings and home field advantage. Where the power line differs significantly from the current line, the team with the edge is indicated.
    Power Rating
    Estimate Edge
    SAN FRANCISCO -1
    ATLANTA

This power rating is DEAD ON..................................

I think it's comes down to coaching, and Jim harbaugh is a way better coach...49ers win this one but not by much.

They dont match up well. SF Defense is no match for the Falcon offense. The Falcons will score at will (just like last week) on the overrated SF defense that has given up an average of 30pts a game last 4. The good news is that those six SF pro bowlers will actually be able to play in the pro-bowl next week. What else so you need to know?

Play at home in a dome where the Falcons WR's will be flying by the slow 49ers corners. Falcons will keep possession as they usually do at home and chew the clock. There is nothing that can stop the Atlanta offense from scoring. Broncos didn't stop them, Giants didn't stop them, Saints didn't stop them. Every time that comes to the fiery Georgia dome goes back home with a loss.

I dont know why this is so hard for people to understand.

Here is a something interesting from Trent Dilfer

#Filmstudy Final thought: concern for Niners. Much of what they do well takes communication at LOS. Loud crowd & pre snap movement is problem

Veteran ATL team? Have any of them played ina a conference championship? I'm not that sure but maybe most of SF has played in one? As in like their entire team except their confident QB.. confidence does wonders, I have never seen Matt Ryan eve look confident.

Their D didnt give up **** last week.. a pick 6 ad garbage TD to let the PACKERS score 31.. I'm positive the Packers would eat the Falcons alive at home. Along with every team that made the Playoffs, they get a fluke win over SEA and you Falcon fans think they are good. Stick to your stat books and the past, I don't want the books to have your money but, if it's on ATL.. they have already got it.

The 49ers have plenty of experience losing in the conference championship.

The Packers were a joke waiting to be told, the 49ers beat them in GB and people thought GB could win in SF? Please.

To be the champs, you gotta beat the champs. ATL took care of the NYG while SF could not. It is ATL's year.

Idk why you Falcons lovers keep dodging the facts and making up more excuses of how they are going to even keep up with this 49ers team.

edit: the GIANTS beat an alex smith 49ers team... little different week of gameplanning with Kap, maybe, idk.

I admire your confidence and Ill be dead honest with you. Im a Falcon fan and have cash on the Falcons to win the SB and will throw down on the Falcons Sunday morning if I can get ever get a hold of my special someone. The fact that the Niners are a 4 point favorite scares the crap out of me but I love the points. It may just go down like you say as this is the NFL and anything is possible. I just dont see it playing out like that because no team has handed them their ass this year at home and this team is resilient as hell. Here is what I know...its almost game time...less than 24 hours out...I have talked a lot of shit and have high hopes for the birds. Go Falcons...Go Pats. GL to all. Im pumped for a great 7 hour stretch of football.

I can tell by a lot of comments in this thread that not many have watched a full niners game all season.... If you think Kap can't sling it and Rw is a better qb you are seriously on some major drugs... Or clinically insane.. Go ahead and throw your money away though..

Falcons have never seen Russell Wilson before. He will destroy them. Result: Falcons win
Falcons have never seen Robert Griffin III before. He will destroy them. Result: Falcons win

Now all of a sudden Kaepernick is much better than Russell Wilson and Robert Griffin III. If he is so much better then why didn't he play the first 24 games of his career?
