WARNING: Before you bet the Tigers World Series price

ESPN SC MLB - Tigers WS rotation: Justin Verlander in Gm 1, Doug Fister Gm 2, Anibal Sanchez Gm 3, Max Scherzer Gm 4

Verlander will not be starting 3 games

    I don't understand how they don't have Verlander pitching games 1, 4, and 7.

It's the World Series c'mon now he can dig deep on short rest

Hard to bump any of the Tiger starters the way they are pitching right now.

Even if they were up 2-1, I'd pitch him Game 4

Giants have shown they can easily win 3 games in a row. You don't wanna mess around

Only way I wouldn't start JV game 4 is if they were up 3-0. He's too valuable not to use 3 times in what could be a tight 7 game series

Fister is awesome right now. This could easily be 2-0 heading to Detroit. That city wants this bad. They will match or top SF intensity.

I am not even going to hedge my +2000 Tigers world series future with the Giants.

If you think about it, moving him up on short rest is really "messing around", not sticking with what got you there.

Yankees hitting was that bad. They would have batted below the mendoza v a Single A staff...Still Sherzer can be filthy, Anabel can be aight...Don't trust Fister.

Just don't get all high and mighty about the Tigers staff. Orioles really shut them down as well.

Your kind of stupid but I have to agree with you in this case.

Starting Rotation Should Be: Game 1 -Verlander

    Game 2 - Sanchez

    Game 3 - Scherzer

    Game 4 - Verlander

    Game 5 -Fister

    Game 6 -Scherzer

Game 7 - All Hands on Deck

Maybe Even Pitch Scherzer Game 2 So He can go Game 6 Fresher.

Payton is "kind of stupid"? What? He's a great all-around poster. Even your analysis there is bad.

Holding out Fister until Game 5. Wow.

Yea it's so bad because I am trying to get Verlander three starts and Fister to pitch a home game (where he is more effective).

And stop stalking me.....you really are an idiot.

find it hard how tigers lose with a disgusting line up of pitchers and battors, they are better clutch hitters then SF giants,

i predict they win game 1 lose game 2 and sweep them at home for 4-1 victory wont even make it back to SF for game 6 and 7

    ** You're

Don't know why you have a problem with me because I questioned your Reds RL against Zito in the division series

Once again I will ask you to do a little research, how many games in a row have the Giants won when Zito was starting?

I don't have a problem with you because of that. It was some other snide remark you made (with no basis at all) when you were trying to "e-gang up" on me with some other loser on here who (of course) couldn't cap his way out of a paper bag. It was in poor taste.

Let's say they split the first two games. Having Dirty Sanchez start game 3 seems a little risky. You don't want to give Giants any kind of momentum because when they're rolling... They're rolling.

    1. Verlander
    2. Fister
    3. Scherzer
    4. Sanchez

That makes a little more sense to me.

O.K. Regardless, I would pitch Sanchez in the fourth slot. Game 3 is HUGE. They're all big games but you don't want to give a team like the Giants an oppurtunity to go up a game on you. If they spit the first two and Sanchez going game 3 could be a remedy for disaster. I don't like it...

Only at SBR can someone suggest Fister -- Detroit's No. 2 starter all season long -- should be held out until Game 5 and I'm the idiot for pointing out how stupid that is. Can't wait to see if Leyland takes your advice.

Agree, although Anibal knows the park and the Giants well. I would actually consider going JV, then Anibal, then Fister. Won't happen though. Fister gets the start in Game 2.

The Tigers love is almost hilarious. The Giants were far more impressive in how they rallied with their bats coming alive and clutch pitching down the stretch. I think the worst team in baseball would have beat that Yankees squad, as much as it pains me to say.

At some point, though, you have to wonder if all of the rallying will start to take its toll on SF. While Detroit might be looking at too much time off, the Giants are in the middle of a pretty frantic stretch of games. They're lucky they don't have to go to the D for Games 1 and 2.

Yeah, they beat a Yankee team that any one would have beat. but they did it like they were supposed to. they didn't struggle. they stepped on their necks and broke them. and they beat the destiny team in Oakland.

When you have the X-factor Justin Verlander I say you gotta throw him 3 times. Go all in to win this thing

I'd much rather be Leyland and have JV lose a game 5 or 7 on short rest, then lose with someone else and forever wonder what could've been

no reason for it when you can him fresh when you have a staff of Fister, Schzerzer Sanchez. plus like everyone said. thats just the projected. if things go south, i'm sure he'll be going three games.

I think ESPN just said teams that swept the LCS haven't won the WS against teams that played 7 games in the LCS.
