If the winner doesn't wish to claim the 10K entry + trip to sunny Las Vegas, the prize will be rolled down to 2nd place. We'd hope though that those enrolling in the WSOP Main Event freeroll would be gunning for 1st place.

Nobody remembers who won $1,500 or $2,500 event #35232... everyone remembers the World Series of Poker main event winner.

The satellite winner will be provided with an SBR baseball cap to wear while seated at the tables.

    John,

You've got that right. This is another great SBR promotion...one of the best in a long line of top promotional events.

Nice going Lou and whoever else had a hand in it. Can't wait to play.

Grand final structure 10k starting chips 15min levels that will do for an online tourny, or split it into 2 days make it 20k stack 20min blinds now that be sick. 2days just adds to the excitement anyway.

It would be a nice fairy tale for one of us to win the WSOP main event, but it's more likely this will all be very disappointing

The prize pool is very skewed because of logistics. Perhaps a solution can be entertained that the final tables finishers 2-9 get some sort of revenue share with the winning horse at the WSOP. It doesn't have to be much maybe 1-2% of any winnings but it will alleviate a lot of complaints i think.

You might as well give the TSA a treat if opting for the full-body scanner.

Non-Pro members are welcomed to play for a 15-point entry fee....however, If a Non-Pro finishes in the top 3 of the daily satellite tournaments, he/she must become an SBR Pro within 72 hours to avoid forfeiture of their Grand Finale seat. Become an SBR Pro.

We'll make sure the Grand Finale has a higher starting stack than the daily qualifiers.

I love the idea too, maybe something like each final table finisher gets this % of the winnings if the 1st place winner cashes in the main event:

    2nd: 6%
    3rd: 4%
    4th: 3%
    5th: 2%
    6th: 1%
    7th: 1%
    8th: 1%
    9th: 1%
    10th: 1%

20% total given away to the people who reach the final table. All the people who reach the final table will really cheer hard then for whoever gets 1st.

So the person who wins should have to give up a fifth of his winnings if they happen to cash. That's crazy to me, don't think anyone 2-9 should get any cut at all. If I happened to come in 2nd or 3rd or whatever, I wouldn't expect the winner to go, do all the work and if they cash I get a little money because my feelings are hurt that I didn't win. The winner earns their spot and shouldn't be obligated to give anything to anyone but this is up to SBR, I guess they could make the winner pay the losers if he cashes.

The percentages I listed are probably way to high for most people to like and need to be changed, but I would like to see the people who reach the final table at least get something more then just a few hundred measly points. The 1st place finisher gets a $10k buy-in so they should at least be required to spread the love a little to the people who got them there.

Personally, if a miracle happened and I won the entry, and then won several million in the WSOP main event I would give everybody some money that helped me reach it. I'd also give several $100k to SBR for paying my entry which allowed me to play in the first place. (I now expect the poker algorithm to favor me come June 25th )

I would request a fitted hat if I win. This is a great promo and I agree that the winner shouldn't have to give away any winnings if they actually cash in the WSOP.

I agree with this. Lets think about the percentage numbers but I think spreading the luck with the final table is the right thing to do.

The devil is in the detail...

We will do this; we have a standard agreement that winner will sign and agree to. Mostly simple stuff like he agrees to wear an SBR shirt. We will include in that agreement that the winner will pay SBR 10% of whatever he wins at the WSOP. SBR will distribute 2% to second and 1% to everyone else at the final table(places 3rd through 10th).

Sounds like the makings of the right details!

Along with the shirt, I think an SBR Hockey jersey, SBR hoody and SBR hat will appropriately cover the advertising!
