It cost much more money to sponsor a foreign worker. Extremely expensive to bring in an expat. There is no such thing as slaves to the company or slave wages in tech. These folks are getting paid very well. The companies have to raise salary to keep up with the competition. The salary has nothing to do with the supply problem. We do not have enough kids in the US that want to do the work. The only cheap imported labor is the Mexicans crossing over the border to work jobs, you would never do.

I've said in these forums years ago that we have a lot of kids here that are entitled, lazy and don't care. Very few of them actually get Master's and Doctorate degrees. It's a disturbing trend. Look at Florida, about a decade ago, 50% of white kids dropped out of HS. Today, Florida tracts their kids differently. They don't even count the kids that left/dropped out in 9th grade. Making it look like they're doing a great job. Bottom line, India and Asia are kicking our ass. Even the Indians and Asians that are here in the US are better overall students.
