its all about hitting the big plays...

grinding away 1-3u will just have you paying vig in the long run (unless you're very talented at a sport)...

this is why im a huge fan of making your unit size small....that way the degenerate in all of us can get their action in with the 1-2u games and "hammer" the ones that should be hit hard....

Thats fair and I agree with raising bets in certain circumstances. I just disagree with constantly upping bets until you're broke.

It seems like the majority of the time when people "hammer" plays on here it's a desperation play that loses.

If you find yourself upping your bets several days in a row you aren't hammering the plays you should hit hard, you're chasing.

Yeah, this is why I'm always quick to defend him. He is making everything happen and making the extra pass tonight. His rebounding and defense is very underrated.

Durant will ill get a ton of points and credit when OKC is winning but when they lose Westbrook gets all of the blame.

Westbrook is almost on a Lebron level of freakish athleticism.

Totally agree. He's been a pest on the defensive end. Problem with Spurs is their team is primarily made up of jumpshooting role players. Those type of guys usually don't fair well on the road.

Westbrook was drafted for his defense. I think he was an all PAC-10 defender in college.

He was pretty much just a defensive player at UCLA. I don't even think he played PG at UCLA, I remember him being a SG.

like i said. you good at picking sides, but you really gotta patch up your bet sizing strategy. even if spurs win today man, they were 0-11 ATS in OKC. 11 units against this? you NEED a strategy. I know you just feel for how many units you wanna place.

none the less best of luck. I didnt wanna pay juice on OKC ML so I hopped on spurs spread. I think im just as bad

Yeah and people always want to compare him to prototypical PGs. Dude isn't your normal PG.

That UCLA ten had Collison and Love. They lost to Memphis in the Final 4 BC Rose was the only player that could matchup.

I think we're looking at a short series here. This Thunder team just does not stack up and this Spurs team is better than the one in 2012. Just think back to that year. Yea they had the same core 3 but after that they were relying on guys like Stephen Jackson and Gary Neal off the bench. Now, Leonard is much better, Splitter is much better, Diaw is much more familiar with the flow of the offense, Green is better, etc. Meanwhile on the other side, Harden is gone, Durant and Westbrook are basically the same players, and Ibaka is out.

The Thunder will go back to their jump shooting happy ways and it won't work in this series. I expect San Antonio to score at will for the most part and to win this series in no more than 5 games.

    what a dumbfuk.

    lol

Welp a lot of people are happy I lost tonight. But that's SBR.

A few guys will want to talk about the rest of this series. Curious to see what a few of you think. I don't know if Westbrook will continue to play like this with his typical hot-cold style. That said, I think his biggest impact tonight was on defense turning steals into points in transition. The return of Ibaka totally changed this series.

I saw OKC blow a 14 point lead with under 5 minutes to go against Dallas in the playoffs a few years ago.

    Game isn't over yet.

    Not the same okc team.

Also Dirk went NUTS in the end of that game. I remember him hitting one of the craziest shots I have literally ever seen and he scored like 10 points in 1 minute at one point. Who can do that on the Spurs? Nobody.

To be fair I'm also on record saying OKC would win games and 3 and 4 and it would be stupid to fade OKC at home when they have beaten the Spurs 8 straight times in OKC and 9 straight overall with Ibaka. Well now those steaks are 9 and 10.

Why drop 30 units on the Spurs in OKC?

You're really cold right now. We've all been there before. My only question would be why go 18u when you've been so cold and OKC has owned SA at home. Regular season proved it for you though, and I saw your links to your previous years, all plus units.

I like SA in gm5. It will go back to 2 on 5 basketball. All the role players like Green, Mills and Diaw will roll at home. Parker and Duncan will respond, I'd be shocked if they didn't. Westbrook is due for one of those 30% shooting games with 7 turnovers. Even if Reggie Jackson does play, he won't be close to a full go, they'll need him on the road.

When people are cold is when they make the most bad decisions. Not bashing anyone at all here just speaking from personal experience. The main reason people get "hot" and "cold" has a lot to do with decision-making I think. There are periods when you sort of coast along and win a couple, lose a couple etc but most of the time I feel like I'm either scorching hot or ice cold. All it takes at times is for me to hit 1 big bet and I all of a sudden feel like I'm on fire and gonna hit my next 10. I guess I'm sort of the Jamal Crawford of gambling on those occasions lol.
