Lakers take no pride in their defense

Honestly, defense is as much about energy, intensity and concentration as anything else.

They just roll over and die on the defensive end possession after possession.

They should fire D'Antoni and bring Mike Brown back.

Only difference is nobody cares about Milwaukee. Everyone cares about the Lakers.

They just completely take possessions off -- as if you can afford to do so against a team of OKC's caliber.

Is it just me, or are the Lakers a better team without Howard? That guy is a cancer.

As for D'antoni, he is just a horrible fit for this team.

Brown's style suited them better. At least with Brown, you could count on making the playoffs and bowing out in the second round.

They give up 6-10 point spurts faster than anyone in the NBA.

I'm not sure why I didn't bet 100 units on the Thunder TT over for the first half.

If you take away Howard and D'Antoni, you basically have last year's Lakers -- who were a hell of a lot more competitive than this outfit.

Exactly. That's what I was getting at.

I hate Howard. He is a big overrated baby. He got a good coach in Orlando fired. Now he is a cancer on the Lakers. They're actually somewhat resemble a team without him.

Howard doesn't give a rat's ass about winning.

He says he does, but you can tell by the way he plays that he couldn't care less.

This has to be driving Kobe nuts. He might end up punching someone.

They've given up 32 points in the first 9+ minutes of the second quarter.

I like Dwight....they just need to learn how to use him. I'm still not sure if he'll ever fit in the Lakers system. People forget that he was a top 3 player just a few years ago.

    I don't question Howard's talent.

    I do question Howard's drive.

    What is he now?

All I'm saying is that I see Howard with a goofy smile on his face all the time when he is turning the ball over, missing free throws, and his team is losing.

He doesn't have that competitive fire that Bryant has.

I won the 1st Half OKC -3.5...Now thinking LA -1 2H..Kind of scared to bet on LA or Miami at any juncture.

Game is over....at least books think that. Lakers are +6 FG, you can now get them at -1 2H (+15 FG). Why aren't they at least -3 2H?

So far they've come out in the 2H and played less D than they did in the first, if that's possible.

Are you watching how Westbrook is just rocketing passes through the paint to Durant who is dunking it?

The Lakers aren't even watching the ball.

Laker fans should just admit the team made a near jerk reaction (probably due to Kobe) by firing Brown. At least last year with their defense it let them hang in games and maybe pull out a win. Now they just get blown out instead.

Oh well it makes it easier to fade

That smile annoys me. As if he did a great play or what. Fucking eyesore.
