Can't win them all Sando but at least you hit the under play. Doggies were very disappointing and were fortunate to walk away with the win.

Bad luck mate, you're still the best Nrl capper on here

It certainly looks that way. The loss of Reynolds is offset by the return of Keary, but the main things is that Souths are just a different team with Sammy Burgess. Talk about inspirational leader. The results of his return were immediate & obvious to see. Also the Knights are the popular choice for wooden spoon this season, and their pack is not big nor skilled. I would expect the Burgess brothers to run rampant straight up the guts. 13+ is certainly worth consideration, however I haven't put any time into this game myself...

Thanks mate for the vote of confidence! Dogs were certainly disappointing in the 1st half, they didn't have the same composure without Licha at 9. Soward's kicking game was awesome. Kind of ironic that I was making fun of it in my "preview"

    NRL

    Warriors @ Broncos

    1* Over 41.5

    Roosters @ Raiders

    2* Over 42 (Sportsbet, Pinnacle)

Note - Just a reminder - All plays are assuming -110/$1.90 odds for ease of tracking. Also a 2 unit play means to win 2 units, for example risking 2.2x to win 2.

Will try to post the remainder of plays for the round tomorrow.

Yep for sure. They added arguably the best hooker & best fullback in the world. Two key position players. Sure they have started poorly but 3 of the 4 players in their spine are new, will take some time. Also McFadden has to go! They need Ivan Clearly. How do you play Ayshforde & leave the wrecking ball (Hurrell) playing in ressies? WTF? I think his days are numbered. Anyway wait til they get to NZ. They'll be close to unbeatable at home, especially at Mt. Smart.

First sick beat of the season.

Raiders v Roosters should have sailed over the total (42).

    Instead finishes on 41...

    8 God damn try's & only 2 conversions. A 25% conversion rate!!

    NBA 2016

    5-3 +0.5 units

3-2 today. A little unlucky with the Heat v Hawks under which was an easy win before OT, but gotta take the bad with the good.

    NRL 2016

    8-6 +1.95 units

Not expetting to have a play on Monday night football, so we'll call it a wrap for the round.

4-4 -1.3 units for the round

Slow start to the season, but have no fear, my love for the game & for crunching numbers is as strong as ever & I have no doubt this season will be another profitable one. Plays will start getting bigger from around week 4 I would imagine? Once I've had a good look at all the teams in action...

Actually I lied. I am going to have a small play on MNF.

    NRL

    1* West Tigers ML ($2.20/+120)

Line is wrong IMO, despite having come in significantly already. Based on round one form, the Tigers returning players, the huge home ground advantage of Leichardt for the Tigers & Manly's poor record at Leichardt - all of that tells me Tigers should be -2 or a pick' em at worst. Should be a high scoring game which will suit the Tigers just fine.

    NRL 2016

    9-6 +3.15 units

Some games I really like this w/e! Finally starting to get serious now by week 3.

This is what I have so far...

    Roosters @ Cowboys (tonight)

    1* Cowboys 1-12 ($3.20 Sportsbet)

    Raiders @ Knights

    1.5* Raiders -4

    Sharks @ Sea Eagles

    2* Sharks ML ($2.00 Sportsbet)
*Sharks will keep firming & should start favourites by Monday kick off...

Also leaning heavily on Warriors at evens v. the Storm & the under in that game, as well as the Titans as a home dog & the red hot bunnies too...

Well it's raining on and off in Townsville so that leans towards a closer game.
Roosters should have won last week and they know it, expect them to be fired up tonight.
Roosters have a great record against the Cows (including in Townsvlle)
Cowboys have started the season slowly, with two average performances and lots of dropped balls...
...This ties in with the Cow's traditionally being slow starters to the season.
Roosters are 0-2 & starting down the barrel of 0-3 after consecutive minor premierships = desperation.

    NRL 2016

    Friday Night footy

    Eels @ Bulldogs

    2* Bulldogs -4
    (Sportsbet)
1* Eels team total under 17.5 (-115/$1.87 Will Hill) *-16.5 is ok too
Eels with two huge outs. Peats is so important to this club. As a general rule hookers are the most underrated position in the game, and the Eels are a great example of this. Also Ma'u has been their best forward to start the season, so really is a couple of bad outs, as the Bulldogs pack is the most formidable in the league, so teams really need "all hands on deck" in their forward pack, yet Eels have lost 2 most important forwards. Eels rolling with their 3rd string hooker tonight (King out as well). Also Eels really have a woeful record at ANZ stadium, a place where the doggies enjoy playing. The line is sharp in this one. -4 is exactly where it should be set! I don't expect an easy victory by any means, however I am confident that the doggies can grind them down over the course of 80 minutes and win by 6-10 points. Wet weather in Sydney also plays into the doggies favour. Dogs are strong defensively and have yet to concede more than 16 points in 2 dry weather games this season.
