I believe the value in these bets is created by inflated statistics from early group/ finals matches.

Sonny Bill Williams Under 3 Offloads $2.05
For the Roosters he averaged 2.6 offloads per game, with 12 games under, 6 games over and 6 games tied on 3 offloads

Isaac Luke Under 1.5 Offloads $1.87

For Souths he averaged 1.15 offloads per game with 17 games under and 9 games over 1.5 offloads.

Let me know what you think
Wow those numbers seem remarkably low, don't be surprised to see like 5 SBW offloads tonight

couldn't get on the Spain game in time... Geez Australia at -6.5 is looking really good, what do you think about France getting over the USA.. The USA hasn't looked very good this tournament, french have been mediocre too though

This is true they are very proned to making silly unforced errors...

I went with an Aus -6.5/Canada ml parlay, felt more comfortable about these two but i must admit i haven't seen portugal play much this tournament (just the one game)

They could never win the ball from the kicks, they looked scared to jump at it and try to catch it... Very Frustrating

i also thought spain knocked the ball on from the kickoff which they got their 2nd try in the 2nd half from, and the canadians were standing round expecting the play to be called dead as well...oh well very pissed off, took a hit there. Effort becoming a factor in these shield and bowl games now so may lay off until the big ones

That defending was something else, I couldn't believe how they allowed the Portoguese to cut them open like that and just speed past them!

Oh well on to the next one, I think Australia should be too strong for Samoa here

Dammmn would love to play the totals in some of these games, they are non stop action foot on the throttle stuff. I think that game should go over, will be a very open game and NZ might score that much on their own

Righto gents down to business for this RLWC Final. Found a good Arb/ Middle on the game line.

New Zealand +8.5 points $2.25 (TAB) Line at TAB has moved to $2.20 but it is still a no loss bet.

    Australia -8 Points $1.85 (Betstar)

Backing the Aussies with Sportsbet and their money back special also seems to be great value (money back if you lose by 10 points or less.

That is correct, the line bets I showed above are with TAB and Betstar. The promos from Bookmaker.com.au and Luxbet also look handy.

I saw some stuff about portugal here and I think you meant rugby. Let me just say that from what I've been reading in the newspapers (I don't follow rugby) it seems like there's been a little disapointment with the rugby team in the past year or so, after the really big boom that happened from around 2008-2011.

You're probably referring to 7's? Portugal went through a very good patch for sure but dropped off towards the end of last year/this year.

I don't know man, what were you referring to?

Like I said I don't follow rugby, just saw you guys speaking about Portugal and thought I should chime in with some "local" feelings!

Yeah but know I saw it and yes it's the "7s". The rugby boom was unreal here in the end of the last decade. Now one played the damn sport until 06/07 and then all of sudden its popularity started to grow, the national team started having better results, college's rallying around their teams like it was soccer and boom, rugby was everywhere. The national coach, Tomas Morais, started to appear in every sports show there was, really grew into a sport personality and same for Vasco Uva whom I think was the team's captain. But just like with Basketball that after it had a good run with the prospect of an Nba player and Portugal qualifying for the Eurobasket in 2007, it now seems to be completely fading away and if it keeps going this route it will be just a matter of time 'till no one cares about portuguese rugby again. And, like I said, I don't follow the sport, but I read news, and I'm friends with 2 guys who play for the National Champions Benfica and they too are starting to feel this way, so I don't think the team's morale is at their best right now.

Are you living in Portugal? I know Fransisco De Almeida, went to school with him 2 years ago, he's a fringe 7's player. Would be a darn shame if 7's dies out there! I also know Vasco Mendes who I went to school with 2 years ago, he was another fringe player but not as goood as Fransisco.

Im portuguese and yes I do live here. I actually know Francisco ahah. Not as friends but I know who is. He plays for the same team some of my friends play basketball also. I don't think its dying, its just losing a bit of the immense impact it had some years ago. Sadly, we always have a big boom in some sport in portugal, but then it wear's off and it's back to soccer land
