I believe OKC was bet at about 55% or more, not sure exactly, but was referring to the line of thinking that -5 is too big of a spread, so it must be a trap line.

Now I'm all against being square and betting the better team on paper to win every game, but just because the public will be on a certain play it does not justify a bet on the other side.The analysis of a game should go deeper than checking public betting percentages, which for all we know might not even be accurate.

I don't think it's crazy mate, I've already handicapped this game at T-Wolves -1, and my lines have been very accurate last 3 days. T-Wolves are simply a better team than the Nuggets, and they are playing great basketball at the moment. 3-1 last 4 but in reality the one game they lost to the Clippers (by 2 points) they were rather unlucky at the end of the game and could have won it. Nuggets have no obvious match-up advantages, in fact K-Love is probably a bad match up for Faried as the manimal's strength is in his rebounding and hustle around the basket, specifically offensive boards and he wont get many of those against K-Love who is simply a superior rebounder. Ty Lawson has basically a match up advantage against everyone in the league (as he is the quickest player in the NBA) however Rubio is a pesky and rather underrated on ball defender. Mozgov was great against the Lakers but he will get dominated by Pek. Martin is in close to career best form and so is Brewer. Not only do I think the line is spot on I'm actually leaning towards the T-Wolves

Also Farried's 1 on 1 D sucks and that's not helping against the in mvp candidate form KLove, while Rubio is Minny's best perimeter defender this season and he definetely has the size to bother Lawson.Also worth nothing is that Denver have been atrocious defending the Pick & Roll, which could easily be exploited by the Wolves, who rank 10th in ppp on P&R. If Shaw decides to start Hickson in place of Mozgov again Denver are toast. Anyway, I believe Minny is the right pick here.

I don't like to talk about coaches specially when they have this little experience, but if there's one guy that deserves all credit that has been given to him, is mark jackson. No fake reputation of being a defensive-minded coach and such garbage expressions. He made terrific adjustments in the playoffs last year, he is clearly an awesome motivator and has no problem of making line-up changes and bold decisions. If anyone can name 5 better coaches in the past 2 years with evidence from the actual game of basketball and not media-made-up facts, I'll give you as many points as I can. Which are only 2

Those numbers are clearly made up, and even if they could somehow be true how does that mean the line is a "trap"? If the line is so terrible why is the smart money not going heavily on the other side? Unless the game is fixed and the books know this there's no reason for them not to make the odds worse for minny when 96% of people are backing them.
