Any leans in tomorrows NBA game 6 Sando? I think Miami will win but spurs are a chance to cover the 7 points. There hasn't really been a close match between these two sides yet. Also the game total is now up to 191. I think the books have over compensated from the previous 2 games blowing out to 200+ points. The first 2 games in Miami were under, combine that with a game 6 do or die for both teams Ive got a feeling its going to be a slower game.

In positions like this I like the look of Centrebets "super line and total double" Which should be available 6 hours before tip off. It gives you an extra 5 points in favour of line and total (eg. Im guessing it would be Miami -2 and Under / Over 196 @$1.91 for tomorrows game)

Will also be interesting to see prop bets on Wade and Ginobili total points when the lines get released. Ginobili was huge in his first start of the season in game 5 and you would think based on his performance that Pop would start him again in game 6.

I have no idea about rugby and just assumed Lions were pretty much a sure thing. With the odds at around $1.20 for a Lions win this afternoon there was a great opportunity to make some free money.

Bugger, hope you made the most of it.

    NBA Finals

Spurs @ Heat - Game VI

This is more just my "rambling" thoughts on game 6, rather than any technical write-up.

Continuing to find value in D wade scoring props, even @ 19.5. As I've said from the beginning of the finals D Wade is the key for Miami. Lebron is Lebron, there is nothing that really needs to be said about him, however D Wade at his best is an offensive machine and with the sporadic efforts from everyone else on the team throughout the finals, D Wade has finally stepped up, particularly the last couple of games and in game 6, a true do or die game, you can expect he will get aggressive and into the lane from the beginning, looking to possibly put some early fouls on Duncan and of course get into an early offensive rhythm. Lebron has too many different jobs, D Wade's role is a lot simpler, mainly to score points and establish himself as the #1 offensive option early and often. In a hypothetical scenario, when the Heat are playing at their best, Lebron may very well have a triple double however D Wade will inevitably be the top scorer. They hype this team up as the big 3, but in reality it is the Lebron & D Wade show and there is no chance they can win two straight games against this dynamic and confident Spurs team without both of them playing at a high level. Of course D Wade can also play great on ball defence and is quick enough to disrupt the passing lanes and create havoc on the perimeter when he is locked in, but again what is really required from him in a game like this is to take over offensively and in these situations in the past this is exactly what he has done. Lebron will of course get his points in transition and (if he's smart)in the post, but the ball has not been in Lebrons hands enough lately and you would think he will spend a lot more time on ball (especially in the 2nd half) now that they are back home and with their backs to the wall. Lebron is Miami's best facillitator and the NBA's best point-forward and if he is racking up the assists, hitting Wade & Bosh in "their spots" and of course Allen & Chalmers in the corners then good things will happen for this team. Miami has not been able to rely on 3 point shooting throughout this series and conspiracy theorys aside, you have to expect some ammount of "home bias" in relation to foul calls and I think we will see a much more aggressive Lebron, D Wade and possibly even Cole really looking to get into the paint and draw some early fouls and set the tone for the way this game will be played. There is a good chance that coach Pop be more interested in absorbing Miami's early game intensity and looking to simply stay with them as much as possible in the 1st half, with the goal of turning it on in the 2nd half. There is a very good chance the Spurs simply try to contain Miami early on as opposed to directly going head to head. The Spurs know exactly how Miami will come out in this game and if they can roll with the punches in the 1st half and take Miami's best hits without taking too much damage (too big a lead) then they will be primed to hit back and try and finish this series off in the 2nd half. I really like Miami 1st Q and perhaps 1st Half, but have no interest in them full game and whilst I may be in the absolute Minority, if this game is still close in the 4th then I would definitely want my money on the Spurs at that point. Pressure can do strange things to people, no matter how experienced and no matter how great your skill set is...

Coach Spoelstra is playing checkers in this series. Coach Pop is playing chess.

Well I've actually done a bit more work on the game and reviewed games 1 & 2 (in Miami) and I am seriously leaning towards playing the Under 191.5 - Regardless of who takes control of this game, I'm confident the game won't be played at the frenetic tempo the last couple of games in SA were played at. I think things will slow down significantly today and with the total being inflated first by the books and then further by the public up to now 191.5, the under looks even better value.

    Soccer

    Confederations Cup

Japan in very average form (3 losses, 1 win, 1 draw - last 5) and coming off a 3-0 belting at the hands of Brazil in their opening game. Italy generally in very nice form and undefeated in their last 7 games, opening their confed cup campaign with a solid 2-1 win over Mexico, led by midfield maestro Pirlo. The Azzurri have 3 wins and 2 draws from their last 5 games with an exceptional 10 goals for and 3 against differential. The public has pounded the life out of Italy here and some of the value is gone, however as long as you can get no worse than -120/$1.83 then the wager is still good for 1-2 units. In this case the public looks to be right on the money. Just too much class in this team for the out of form Japanese.

Because your comment was an unnecessary slur against Australia. Have you forgotten that we are Allies?? I am a very proud and patriotic Aussie, however you should know I am also half American - my dad is American, I have dual citizenship, I lived in NY and went to high school there and I'm also very proud of my American heritage.

Roos has less than 1% chance and that is being generous. Roos will not be the next Melbourne coach, do not waste $5 of your hard earned on this. Completely wasted money, not happening. I wrote a big comment about it a page or so back.

Mark Williams firming into outright favourite at both Sportingbet ($3.50 into $3.25) and Sportsbet ($4 into $3.50).

Tough day in the NBA for me, Wade wasn't shooting all that well and Ginobili was an offensive no show tonight. Ray Allen destroyed my under play taking the game into OT. My smallest play of Lebron over 27 was the only thing that paid off. Theres always game 7....

Cheers for the info mate, also one more thing I should add, in case people are wondering why I am so adamant about Paul Roos not being an option for Melbourne. Well I feel like I know the man fairly well (considering I have never met him). As a long time Bloods fan, Roos is one of my favourite players ever and in my humble opinion one of the best coach the game has ever seen. I idolise the man and hang off every word he says in relation to footy, whether its "on the couch" or on fox footy so I've been waiting and hoping he would return to footy as a senior coach for years, but I'm now of the very strong opinion that he is done with coaching at a senior level.

    Friday night NRL (rugby league)
    Dragons v Cowboys
The cowboys are down near the bottom of ladder, they have had a well below par season. After seeing them go toe to toe with the Bulldogs for most of the game showed some promising signs given they were missing their 2 key men, Thurston (best player in the NRL) and Matt Bowen. Thurston is back and fresh this week after being rested. Expect him to have a big game, as he usually does. The dragons have been good in defense but have struggled to put on points, signing Josh Dugan has helped but i dont think its enough. Im going for the Cowboys 1-12 ($3.60) or if you want a safer option you can take Cowboys +4.5 ($1.92)

    Sea eagles vs Bulldogs
Both these two teams should be in the top 4. Bulldogs runners up from last year and Manly who has been the most consistent top 4 team in the past 4 seasons. Once again this is going to be another close and probably low scoring game. I think manly will feel hard done by last weeks lost to the warriors, and they seem to be winning all the close ones this year, which was one of their flaws in previous seasons. If your going to tip either team you would have to take 1-12 margins and tomorrow im going Manly 1-12 ($2.88)

    Roosters v Warriors
Roosters have been one of the benchmarks this season, with their NSW origin halves, big forwards lead by Sonny Bill Williams. The warriors one paper always rated so highly but they seem to go through some periods of playing bad football, they are one of the most incosistant teams and hardest to tip. They are looking good at the moment, playing some good attacking football which we know they are capable of! Konrad Hurrel on the centre is an absolute beast, in attack anyways. Im liking this game to go over 42.5 points ($1.90). I think we are in for an exciting game.

    Broncos vs Tigers
This game is really touch and go, and i wasnt sure if i wanted to make a play on it or not. The tigers are the worst team in the NRL together with the Eels at the moment, they have plenty of injuries and have lost all their best players to other teams. Just like the Eels they are going through a rebuilding stage and might take them a few years before they become close to contending a top 8 finish. The Broncos got thumped against a hot Raiders teams last monday, but they are Home this time, in Brisbane, they have a bigger and much more better and experienced forward pack. I can see this one being a blowout as long as the weather stays dry. Broncos -10.5 ($1.92)

    AFL
    Carlton v Hawthorn
Its 7th vs 2nd Friday night in the AFL. Both teams dont have any big changes from last week. The Hawks won this fixture 120 to 70 last year, and to be honest i cant see this game being any different. The hawks have shown that they can play well especially against the bigger teams. They have won their last 5 games in a row. This could easily be a blowout and im going to go Hawthorn -24.5 ($1.92)

    Essendon vs Gold coast
4th vs 12th. Essendon have been consistent this year and looking to hold on to their top 4 position. The suns whilst being 12th, have been showing signs of improvement, led by captain Gary Ablett is one of the favourites for the Brownlow medal and he has a great record against them. I cant go past Essendon at home, they have been putting out cosistent performances, they havent let me down yet this season, but the Suns will give them a fight and keep it close. My tip Essendon Bombers 1-39 ($2.15)

Good luck everyone, lets have another smashing weekend!!

Poor week on the AFL, overall a profitable week (even though only very little). Been smashing the friday and Monday night NRL picks lately. Only 4 games though this week due to BYES. Will have a look at the games tonight or tomorrow.
    Cowboys 1-12 ($3.60)
    Cowboys +4.5 ($1.92)
    Manly 1-12 ($2.88)
    42.5 points ($1.90)
    Broncos -10.5 ($1.92)
    Hawthorn -24.5 ($1.92)
    Essendon Bombers 1-39 ($2.15)

    Updated Record – All Sports

    NBA +51.47 Units
*One play left for tomorrow and it’s a big one. A solid year all around. Great Start to the season, very poor middle and then a solid finish with a strong playoff run.
    NRL +13.24 Units
*Firing onall cylinders in NRL and have owned Monday night Footy with big plays 5 weeksin a row. (I don’t automatically play MNF games for the hell of it. It just so happens I have had a good read on the MNF games over the last month or so). Took a big hit on the Rabbitohs game, however still doing well overall.
    AFL -8.03 Units
Hit some nice form on the w/e going 5-0 on my main plays and only losing the 1 unit prop bet on Jeremy Cameron. As I’ve said a dozen times, AFL is my best sport and I have no doubt I will be well into the black by September.
    MMA/Boxing +19.94Units
Missed my only play on the UFC 161 card. Have some nice plays coming for the UFC 162 card in a fortnight.
    Rugby -1.66 Units
A poor w/e,going 1-3 and losing my big play on Wales who were terrible against an impressive Japanese side. It was actually only a 2 unit play, but I entered it wrong on the thread and am not in the habit of deleting plays, so have graded it as a 4 unit loss. Got a big play coming on the Lions 1sttest.

Red hot in international football this year, which is why I have started sharing my plays with the tribe.

Haven’t had the spare time to get stuck into MLB lately. Have only been betting on baseballusing my betpoints. Now that NBA is finishing up, hoping to have some time to get back into MLB.

Havent had much time to put into Netball lately either, but with Rabittbrew around it doesn’t matter as he has been delivering us great plays.

    ConfederationsCup
Tahiti is a small island in the middle of the South Pacific and its national team is filled with amateurs and part timers. Their last 3 competitive hit-outs against top100 ranked teams have been a 0-3 and then a 0-2 loss against 57th ranked New Zealand, and more recently in their 1st Confed cup hit-out a 1-6 loss to 31st ranked Nigeria. For anyone who has been living under a rock then I’ll state the obvious and say that Spain is by far the best football side in the world. It doesn’t matter who they put on the pitch tonight, the line-up is irrelevant. Yeah some will be rested from their 1stgame against Uruguay (2-1 to Spain but La Roja completely dominated and the score flatters Uruguay) and others will get some game time, but its all irrelevant as the entire playing list are stars. Even Spain’s all conquering U21 side would beat the Tahitians 5-0 or worse. Think David v Goliath but in the real world David doesn’t have a chance in hell.
