I don't have time to write anything up, I am on the heat tonight Sandoman but just regarding one of your keys, here's my view on why the Heat might not only win today but also the series:

The Spurs cannot stop Wade like the Pacers could. Not while they try to stop James at the same time and also, the same goes for Bosh. There's only one Leonard on the Spurs team and with all do respect to Green or Parker or anyone else, not only are they not as good defensively as Stephenson, they don't have the same edge. Also, inside, Duncan has been a great presence throughout the year... but he's no Roy Hibert and certainly no one else his. Watch for a much better series from Wade here unless the Spurs plan for him which I think wuld be an unwise decision from them because the main focus should always be bosh. I will have more on "this" later.

    Good luck everyone!

    NRL

    Roosters @ Eel

    3* Roosters HT/FT ($1.59 Luxbet)
1.5* Roosters team total Over 24.5 ($1.88 Sportsbet)
1* Roosters (to win by) 13+ ($2.15 Sportsbet)

A rare situational play, (although it is also a form based play).

Parra's defence and their PTB pressure on Roosters halves combo Pearce/Maloney should feel like a stroll in the park after the pressure-cooker environment of origin that they are returning from.

These sides met earlier in the season and it was 50-0 to the Roosters, although it must but pointed out that the Eels are (usually) a much better side at home. Who knows which Parra side will show up however?

Not expecting the Roosters to put on anywhere near 50 points this time out, however if they even put on half that they will cover the team total, and I think 5 try's & 3 conversions (26 points) is a fairly conservative ask from this uber talented & dynamic Roosters list as the Eels are conceding 26.8 ppg and the Roosters are putting on 23.1 ppg against far stronger defences than Parra's.

You worried about the Eels extra motivation this weekend at all ? Ie the players playing for a job next season ?

How would you advise the distribution of units on the Rugby games if we're tailing on an American book that doesn't have the same props available?

So with all this said the Roosters are -500, I imagine they win straight up - have some house money and would like to generate a quick $100, or is that a line you would stay away from with the eels "trying to prove something".

At this stage I'm not planning on making any plays on UFC Fuel 10, however I'm lining up 2 large plays for UFC 161 the following w/e but still have work to do.

On tonights game (Eels/Roosters) you should be able to get 13+ (under prop bets), otherwise just play the line for 2 units as long as you can get it at 12 or under? I feel the Roosters have been absolutely hammered and you might struggle to get a decent line now mate? In the future when I post "fancy" plays that are probably only available at Aus/Nz books, ill try and post something equivalent that US guys can follow (if i can find a solid play). For now I need to squeeze in a nap for couple of hours, haven't slept in a day and a half. Back later.

I figured just hitting the ML.

I'm using 5d so if there's props for Rugby, I don't see them. I think because its not too popular in the states so they list it under the "Other Sports" category.

Yea, roosters up to 14.5 and to -600

I got Carlton, last few years bombers have started to take a nose dive around this time of the year. Looking at the ins and outs essendon seem to be missing more quality players than Carlton. Belchambers and jetta. Got a good feeling that Carlton will be hard to beat tonight.

lads im a mad carlton supprter and lets just get this straight firstly, im never confident about my team winning but tonight i just cant see us losing, i cant see how the bombers will have am answer for betts, yarran and garlett people must say small fwds dont win you games but with they way garlett has been playing with 27 goals this year, eddie coming off a 3 week suspension should be freash and loves playing at the G and yarran is having a better year the previous. i say these 3 guys are the key tonight to winning this game because essendon dont have great match ups for the 3, another point carlton may have no proven they have beaten a top 8 side this but they also have not been beaten by big margins at all this season. Yes carlton do struggle at ethihad and have always had problems with that venue but tonight we get back to the MCG where we have always played our best footy, i could go on for ever about tonights game, the key to beating essendont tonight is stopping jobe, (if you can) stanton and when going inside 50 taking those oppetrunites, carlton have comprenhensively racked up strong inside 50 differential agaisnt there oppenents in the last 6 weeks (averaging a large +15 differential) and although they have been against medicore opppnents, it is evident that an emphasis on changing structures is finally coming up trumps. This flows into a higher effiency of converting inside 50's into scoring oppertunities. The bombers have had one of the worst ratios of inside 50's to scoring shots in the AFL over the last month

    Carlton 4* sportsbet

The roosters smashed the Eels earlier this year, and are already looking like a solid top 4 team. The eels again seem to be wooden spoon contenders. I dont expect this game to be 50-0 again because the Ricky Stuart (eels coach) has just informed half his squad they wont be needed for next year so expect the boys staying on for 2014 to step up and maybe abit of fire from those who are being let go to impress future employers. Roosters are too good in defence, and Eels have nothing other then Hayne going forward. Easy victory for Roosters 13+

NQ Cowboys vs Canterbury Bulldogs - Canterbury bulldogs Win

The cowboys have had a poor season after what some thought they would be top 4 contenders. They have Matt scott and Thurston backing up from origin and are up against a fresh bulldogs outfit who have had all week to prepare. Thurstons wife is due to give birth anytime so he could be sitting in the maternity ward for this one. The bulldogs who were the form team last year losing to a disciplined melbourne storm side in the grand final, had a slow start to the year with a quite a few players being suspended or injured, but they are back to almost full strength and have hit form with 4wins from their last 5. There is no question that the Bulldogs should have this game in the bag, i cant think of any excuses to not tip them.

Essendon Bombers v Carlton Blue - Essendon -3.5
Carlton despite their victory last week have failed to step up in the big games so far this season. Essendon may have had a loss last week to Sydney but i expect them to come back strong this week. For better odds i'd probably take the Essendon under 39.5

    GWS v Geelong - GWS +87.5

GWS have been the easy beats this year, and boy have they taken a hammering. I think they have enough point in them to cover the 87.5 though.

    Good luck all

    Man, this sucks.

I wanted to follow your NRL (especially Roosters) picks yesterday but it wasn't available at sportingbet (cashed out money from bet365 & pinnacle during your regular nba sesaon break). Waited till today and just when I had the time to check sportingbet if it's available, it's already too late and the game is almost over..
I understand that some bookies open the lines not long before the game starts but the Widnes vs Wigan Warriors line is open since yesterday.

Too bad I missed it but I'm happy for everyone who tailed, thanks sando for the big effort and all the work you put in. Especially with those alternative bets for all of us who don't use an australian bookie.
I'm glad that there are still ppl out there who don't charge others for every bit of information to make profit.

    Thanks man!
