    Spurs +4 in Game 4?

    I may have to make one of my rare 10% of bankroll plays here. I said before Thursday's game that Game 3 was the Thunder's best chance to win a game in this series, and I even said I had a slight lean to OKC. I also said that if the Thunder won, that the Spurs would be around -1.5 in Game 4 with the OKC "desperation" factor now taken out of the line. Instead, we have the same line as Game 3, probably because this line is inflated due to the WAY OKC won Game 3. That is fine with me though, Spurs look like possibly the best bet of the year at +4 in this spot.

    Yeah, SA getting 4 is a reaction to the blowout. But after a team wins 20 in a row they may be due for a couple of subpar outings, especially on the road against a quality opponent. An opponent with a sense of urgency as well. This is a stay away game for me.

    Just came back from a little trip yesterday. I have been watching the other games, or at least, parts of it, and I also watched last nights first half. Thing is, OKC is playing way better half-court ball than I've ever seen. Westbrook IS A MONSTER DEFENSIVELY. And I mean, he has always been good, Thabo as always been excellent, but I don't care if parker went 16-21 or something, guy is playing great defense and he usually is better at it at home. They can easily run with San Antonio so after watching how they were playing their half-court ball last nite, I have to say I don't really see any match-up advantage for the Spurs anymore. I still think they take this as I agreed with you with the Spurs in 5 motto before the series started, but right now I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Thunder manage another great game. Lets be honest here, for as good as the Spurs have been playing on offense, a part of it was simply RIDICULOUS accuracy on the shooting department. They are also not a really top defensive team.

    These series might just get more interesting than I ever thought after the next game.

    bet the spurs but wait as joe will be all over okc after seeing the g3 blowout. Lets not forget that okc played a nearly perfect game and spurs played with low energy in g3. Frankly i don't think okc can play perfect ball 2 games in a row.

    But OKC weren't nearly as bad in their two losses as SA was in their loss last night. That was horrendous basketball.

    The spurs showed they are completely capable of playing poor basketball.

    Before last night it didnt appear to be a possibility.

    I think OKC takes game 4 in tighter contest. But covering 4 for OKC will probably happen.

    Gap between these teams isn't as big as you think. Spurs are better, but be careful taking them in games at OKC.

    OKC 1Q or 1H seem interesting to me
    but I don't trust them in close games to the finish
    Spurs are masters at that. Last night was not close
    so their finesse in tight finishes did not come into play.

    I agree +4 is a good number. For anyone saying the Thunder haven't played bad basketball the first two games don't watch the Thunder play much. They did not play well at all. First game they played about as bad in the 4Q as they have all year and game 2 was a blowout until they finally played well in the 4Q. Finally game 3 they put it all together.

    Now, that may be because of SA's defense but if that's your excuse then you have to be willing to give credit to OKC's defense as well for forcing bad play on SA's part. SA has not played all that well the entire playoffs. They had 14 TO's in the 1H of game 1. THey played bad in game 3. Clips had em down by 20. So they're just as capable as the next team of putting up a stinker of a game and OKC can run off 3 or 4 amazing games in a row.

    So +4 is a good number and will beat the closer but OKC ML is the safest pick IMO.

    Picking up Fisher is huge right now. He has 5 rings. Perkins has 1.

    The Spurs obviously hold a large edge as Duncan and Ginobli have 4 and Parker with 3.

    But the THunder do have players that understand how to win in these situations. Fisher was a huge pickup for them. He's actually played well which is a bonus.

    I think SA is a bunch of vets that are going to be too cagy for OKC. Think they decided they aren't going home tied and chose this as the game they would pick off on the road. No dog in this fight. I'm a Longhorn so I love Durant, and Perkins used to live a few doors down in my old neighborhood. I would probably root for OKC on that basis, but just think SA takes this one outright. Got them on the ML. We will see. BOL to all.
