get em next time BOA12 I read on Fanduel Race book That Illinois takes a small cut on every winning wager for the horses. Interesting. Illinois

The state of Illinois collects a 0.38% surcharge on winnings wagers. This is charged on the "Raw Price," which is the "raw" split of the pool, rounded to an appropriate amount. The amount the state takes is rounded up, so if the "raw price" of the Win pool is $5.50, you would receive $5.30 or $5.35

Is that Illinois Racing only or all tracks?

As I've mentioned to you I see .10-.20 juiced on WP wagers about half the time. Not sure if it's DRF Bets or some other entity.

Yeah I remember you saying that. The way I read it it's all winning wagers (all tracks)according to Fanduel. But not sure.

You have to pay to play.

yeah valid point. But add that fee to the normal track rake and you have an issue. FD mentions no other state to do that. Maybe playing tourneys like those found on Horse tourneys is your best bet. Lower rake overall.

I guess one could argue that less than 1/2 of 1% ain't much but it's the principle of things imo.

That is strange if you only see it half the time. Next time you play take a look and see when the tax is applied. See what track?
