Handicapping 'education' - hey I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind the explaining (briefly) the "why" on a selection or two. It would help me, and others I think, learn a little more about handicapping...although I'd guess maybe people would say they know everything. Not every race, that would take too long, but maybe just on your BB or something? It would be helpful to people like me that appreciate someone else handicapping, but like to handicap themseves. It would help me to get some insight into what how you "see" the race playing out vs. how I "see" it playing out.

SORRY THIS AINT A HANDICAPPING CLASSROOM. I HAVE CREATED A SYSTEM OF MY OWN WHICH I USE TO HANDICAP A RACE CARD WHICH TAKES OVER 3 HRS PER CARD IT CONSISTS OF 25 STEPS PER HORSE PER RACE TO DETERMINE MY TOP CHOICE WHICH I CANNOT GET INTO. IF YOU WANT LITERATURE, BUY SOME BOOKS AND READ

    SORRY, I CANT DO EVERYTHING

You should check out horseplayernow night school... each week they have a handicapping topic that experts chat about...you could learn a lot...

    http://www.horseplayernow.com/cat/school.htm

They have "handouts" that have basics of the week but you can also go through their completed chats where you'll find the most insight.

I have known Joe for years, I have looked over his shoulder many times while he puts his unique figs on his program, I have even gone as far as questioning him as he went along, I can tell you from experience that his system is not an easy one to understand, and there are some parts of the process that are not static, flexibility is often required.

That's cool... and I get it. I have friends that own/train horses at the local track, who are friends with a lot of handicappers, but it's tough to figure them out sometimes. They've taught me a thing to two (or most everything I know) but lately I've been in a slump of sorts and just trying to pick up some new tips that might help. Thanks for the Horse Player Now link, I'll check it out.

Hey Buddy...see where TIOGA DOWNS HARNESS will open up on MAY 7th (KENTUCKY DERBY DAY).. BIG goings on at that track with Fireworks after the races.

I am still looking for a quiet entry horse in the Kentucky Derby to blow this race wide open.

Already tossed Uncle Mo and The Factor too many medical issues with these two..IMO they both should skip this tough race and campaign throughtout their 3 year old season. Why risk injury for $600,000 in one race when they could make 5X that throughout the season ?

Think I have a good chance with a horse IF he makes the cut.

My pick in Pool #1 Brethren is skipping the Kentucky Derby.

Good Luck today Joey...cannot participate in SBR Keeneland Contest today...off to work.

belmont is one of my main tracks and my best tracks are saratoga and i did quite well at delmar last year

i like to post different tracks though for folks that live in different parts of the country so they dont have to buy their picks out there

i donate allot of time and try to give a little to everyone that wants to look at some picks

evangeline is just a track to me to play some 10 cent supers or 50 cent triples if you have some extra cash to loose that you wont miss. if you hit 1 race, you make good money but its also advised to play a minimun amount of $ at that track like maybe $24-$30 for the whole card that way your not out much but could hit for over $500 with 1 good hit

that pkace will be jammed back from morning to the end of fireworks they will have free food and drinks and giving out derby hats, merchandise, etc in the horse rooms for all the players. we usually reserve our front row seats early in the simucast room like right about now and we usually take like 8 seats in a row with betting monitors

too bad you cant come that day but i know you will be working early that day too

When you post 1 with 2-4-8 does that mean #1 to win and 2-4-or 8 to come in place? or are you boxing this? sorry for the stupid question just started playing horses in 6 months ago, a little confused of what plays you are actually doing. Thanks for your help.
