Players in basketball don’t really care. They game the system from AAU all the way up to get handouts and paid. The money is too insane. Guys would rather get paid and have the summer off over winning a championship so you never know who will decide to show.

NHL players like NFL players have to prove themselves time and time again. The money isn’t locked in. MLB/NBA massive guarantees so they can do whatever. NHL playoffs are always fun and wide open.
