It really is a big ball system and that first time when there are 30 units in play one night is always fun. I could not bet once night last year - I was terrified LOLI also love when the "variance ignorants" will start to panic or hate...

This goes without saying, variance will come around and you will be betting C games ... possibly multiple C games in one night. If you cant handle risking 50 units or more on one night, you really should stop right now and leave on a high note. And as Grinder said, it really is something scary

I don't know what happened to this site over the past year, but any thread I open after the date that I opened this one, I am having problems copy and pasting from WORD to the thread. An error message pops up and says "There are 100 objects listed within your post, the limit is ten objects". There are no "objects" in my posts, but the thread is reading something as an object. So for my NBA thread, in order to post something from WORD, I have to first paste it here, hit the post quick reply button, open it back up under edit, then copy it from this thread to the NBA thread. For some stupid reason, that works. It is a real pain in the ass, but that is one of the main reasons I am keeping this thread alive and not starting a new one each year. I have asked the mods several times if they had any ideas, but unless they want to bitch slap you for a petty violation, they won't even entertain your questions.Originally Posted by Grinder12000

If you are using WORD - copy it to notebook, then cut and paste THAT! that will take all of the objects out of your post. There are a crap load of garbage WORD will imbed into their text! WORD is a pain in the ass. It's a headache in blogger also.

I believe Boston won the last three, so San Jose should be a play tonight. But the odds are pretty even right now, so you may want to wait awhile to see who ends up the favorite.
If you have the ESPN Scorecenter app you can click on a game and the results for the last 5 games for each team will be on the page. Easy way to track if you don't have the patience to wait for Wallco's post.
Correct. MS Word embeds a bunch of crap in their text that you can't see. If you are using a PC do what he said (copy / paste into notepad) or on a Mac copy/paste into TextEdit, then paste here.
I suspect you may also be able to use the site tags like [ code ] or [ table ] etc.

Do not place any wagers on teams unless you are sure your team is the dog or favorite. The team underlined and highlighted blue is the team we are betting on, regardless of v1 or v2. If you play the closer line games too early, you may be overpaying for a loss if you play the P/L and should have been on the M/L, or lose a game that you would have won had you been on the (+1½) instead of the M/L. We will always play the M/L on favorites and (-110) games, and always play the (+1½) if the team we are betting on is a dog. ALL results will be based on this principle. If it is a close line game, you may want to wait til closer to game time to place your wager so you know whether or not we are on the (+1½) or the (M/L). All lines and standings are based on FINAL lines from ScoresandOdds.com/. If one of the teams we are playing switches from a favorite to a dog, or vice versa, after my initial post, make sure you get the appropriate line if it differs from what I have posted. The wins and losses will be based on who is the dog team on ScoresandOdds.com/ final lines.

Sorry for the late post. I did post it this morning but I think I may have forgotten to hit the "Post Quick Reply" button. Well anyway, there is still plenty of time until the game starts.

I tried it. How do you copy into notepad and keep all the fonts, colors and bold print that I have in my Word document? The formatting is the most important part of my posts.
a-ha...there's the issue. The idea of pasting into notepad is to get rid of any hidden "objects", i.e. it strips it of everything except the basic text, meaning no formatting or anything.
Crap, there is a lot of formatting in my posts. Really need to keep it. Any other idaes?

You guys amaze me with how computer savvy y'all are.
The play is M/L, but do as you wish. ALL teams can be gotten on the +1 1/2 at ANY time, but that is not the system
I think what happened is Wallco you copy and paste the facsimile too many times. It's like trying to re-record over a cassette tape over and over again and eventually all you gonna get is noise due to the tape wearing out. Every time you copy something, WORD or other programs can add some 'objects' that you can't see. Over time these 'objects' will add up and that's why SBR notifies you that you've exceeded their objects limit. So copy the original or close to the original and then edit it on here instead of in WORD. Hope that helps
