OK, I now have a model that functions. I am not saying it is correct, but it gives me a prediction for CBB match-ups. The problem now is I have to enter each match-up by hand. So.......................... does anyone know where I can download the schedule, odds and scores in csv (or similar) format? Thanks in advance.
There are several sites that display schedules. I'm not certain which will fit your needs, but here is a workable method.
Open Excel
click on DATA tab
click on FROM WEB (usually found on the left side)
a new box will open....copy, paste or type the address in the address window similar to jimfeist.com/ncaa basketball schedules hit Go (or enter)
the selected site will now appear in a new box accompanied by small yellow arrows...
select the section you need by clicking on the yellow arrows.
hit IMPORT
another box will appear asking where you want to place the data...
usually A1 will suffice, but you may post it anywhere on your sheet you want...
Hit OK in the small box that appears....
the information selected will be posted on your sheet....
More tedious to explain that perform...
good luck on your action...
Thanks for the tip.
I consider myself somewhat proficient with excel, but this is new to me. Very cool indeed.
Thank you so very much.
I will remember you when I make my first million.
