Definitely looks like a decent strategy. There is 70+ points difference between the best and worst score in that category on our leaderboard.

It's pretty counter-intuitive if you ask me.

Imagine this discussion.

Driver A: I won the race, so I have bragging rights this week.

Driver B: Check NASCAR.com, the OFFICIAL site. You had the pole so you were a ZERO. You did NOTHING this week. I started 40th and finished 15th so I'm +25. I'm awesome. I win again.

(this is especially ridiculous at tracks where pole winners have historically not won very often)

i said all along wait til we play a segment and because things changed dramatically is why i think all the bitching including me..

i do LIKE that its MUCH MUCH tougher to pick a 5-man lineup...was very easy on espn game..makes u think alot more ill give it that and love that feature

just tough when i didn't know what pts were scored for what, questions about pit crew pts when 1 team gets just gas other tak4 ect ect

I absolutely did, I read the rules and figured it out. I wanted Austin Dillion on my team for the long haul, but no way was I taking him this week with him 1st on pole. I took Brad K, JJ, & even Michael strictly on them starting at back of pack.

I picked counting on place differential for points, but may cost me on lead laps and fast laps if they all ride around the back most of the race. 4 of my 5 drivers started in the 30's, but am confused on if they are using qualifying spot or based on starting from the back as so many did. Will prob only use that strategy on a plate track tho. This games as much of a crapshoot as the race itself. Won't know how any of this shakes out until it's over.

There are no limits here, and if a driver's value goes up, you are locked into his old price as long as you keep him. If his value goes down, that IS reflected when you hit the "Renegotiate" button (don't see it now but will during week when rosters can be set).

they are in the back on purpose right now Yiser....i have most back there as well but thats the plan

to stay out of trouble the 1st half at least of the race....not gonna really get going 50-75 laps to go (imo)

but we are in fine shape with those guys

I wanted to revisit this idea from last year, but was gonna let things settle in 1st week but..... Any of you guys who play poker here, i'd like to play every week or every other week, to complete our Poker Roll Overs. I'm thinking maybe we start 15-30 minutes after the race starts? Its a time where we are all watching the race, so we should be near our CPs. If I gotta lose, at least it would be to you guys who could use the points for weekly entries?

The Live Scoring Board is Cool, it actually updates within 2 laps of actual race, showing your Line Up & League Standing on same page. ESPN use to lock up and be 2 far behind. Like I said guys its Chess this year Not Checkers, give it time.
