Was thinking of that Vanier fight -- looked through my previous notes on him in the Bellator thread where I cap'd his bout with Imada and noted his tendency to leave himself open for subs.

Clementi has certainly looked pretty pedestrian lately, but is pretty sub savvy, no?

Is Vanier's standup advantage that great in this one? Kid looked like a fine prospect, just a bit raw. I've not seen him use his wrestling base that much and even if he does, from top position he compromises himself a bit... although after that L to Imada, he's probably been working sub defense like a mofo at the Jackson camp.

+175 is damn tempting I will admit

JT's skillset peaked about 4 years ago, hopefully Watson has been drilling his takedown defense

the Imada sub is definitely what prevented me from going big on Vanier, hopefully he'll look to work more of his stand-up against Clementi

Clementi doesn't have the ability to pose the same threats that Imada did on the feet. I wouldn't say Vanier's stand-up is anything special but it's certainly a level or two up from Clementis'

it's good enough to sprawl and brawl his way to a decision, I know that much

Clementi's a legit threat off of his back but he should be at a disadvantage everywhere else, I don't see him taking Vanier down and I don't see him giving Vanier enough trouble standing to warrant a take-down attempt

Word, I've been snoozing through Clementi's latest bouts, so didn't have a good idea on his side...

Disappointed in the Sokoudju line No value at the open...

added .25 more units at +180
Shambari -165 x.75...still have nightmares of the triangle Bryan Baker put him in, I was gonna play him earlier but wasn't sure how much the line would move

Tom Watson is like 90 years old, albeit his swing is amazingly good for his age. But is that really gonna translate into "punching power" when he crosses over to the UFC? These guys from other sports (like James Toney) need to stop thinking they can impose their will on other sports, especially a guy like Watson in the UFC, it's crazy. Reminds me of when Mark McGwire tried to golf on the PGA.

Lol....that post about Tom Watson just made this thread even greater than it already is.

Illmatik, I am thinking about going kind of big on Vanier.....no way he hasn't been working on his sub defense at Jackson's gym right??

Are you betting the Jardine Prangley fight? No value with Jardine, but Prangley is now +200 on 5 dimes.

was wondering where you were south, small play for me, too hard to determine how much his sub defense has improved in just a few months time, either way Clementi is still going to have a huge edge in that aspect

decided to stay away, I've been burned by Jardine too many times

    love the Villefort play though

Here's my Wladimir vs Peter article,

    http://www.sportsbookreview.com/Betting+Arti...uel-peter.aspx

There's one inexcusable fok up that I should apologize ahead of time for, I must have tuned out during the ending of the Chambers fight because I could have swore it went the distance.

Wladimir did indeed knock him out in the 12th round

Nice write up ill. I was going to stay away from this fight. I just don't feel there's value anywhere, but I couldn't help myself. I had to put a small play on Peter +9150 to win in rounds 1-3. I know it's most likely impossible, but they are impossible odds. What do you think.

Love the play at that price snake, where did you find +9150?....5dimes has 1-3 for peter only at +4875

Peter looked beastly at the weigh-ins, probably close to the best fighting shape he's ever been in. ( came in at 241 pounds)

Peter also sporting an mma shirt...lol

I posted that play when I saw it I guess a little over a week ago in one of the boxing threads. I just looked it's in the super six thread. I was surprised no one else wanted that. I also got Peter in 1-6 for +3850. After round 6 he has no chance. I got both of them at Sportbet. It makes me feel better that Peter is taking this serious and got in condition, but it probably still won't matter. Peter with the mma is funny, but Stewart staring a hole through the scale is even funnier.

Prangley hasn't faught anyone, Jardines chin borders on Arlovski levels, but I still have a few units on him.

I love the love for Saffedine, and he's normally criminally underrated, but the once criminally overrated Brock Larson is a man on a mission after the embarrassing UFC exit.

I like Sardine here too, but not at the current price. Even at Prangley's current line I don't really like a play on him either. Prangley isn't really a KO fighter and Jardine has survived in the stand up against much better KO fighters. Jardine should be able to out score him if it goes to a decision also.
